I was the same, I used to enjoy buying toys for my kids and shopping around and doing Toys r Us etc with them ...

They grew up and I saw a retro carded He-man and Skeletor going cheap for like $6 each in a toy shop and was like " Those are cool....ah , what the hell..." .

Then I spotted comic retro Marvel Legends Falcon , Vision and Loki and decided to get them . And, well ....I now sleep at night watched over by hordes of Marvel superheroes, Streetfighter 2 warriors, some Funko pops, 2000ad/ Judge Dredd and Lego ...

two recent additions (Isaac Clarke figma + Cable ML) i finally squeezed into some space on a bookshelf. i finally got my bonus edition Revoltech AY Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden) from Japan earlier this week, but am putting up some a new bookcase for my blurays this week, which will hopefully have enough space for his home, so i haven’t opened him up yet. curious which, if any, QC issues my Ryu fig will have. apparently a bunch of them have had out-of-the-box pose-ability due to joints or limbs/accessories being too tight or too loose. gotta remember to order some shock oil

Watched on Netflix some recent modern Kinnikuman/M.U.S.C.L.E. cartoon's first episode where they seem to recap what I'm guessing were significant events in the cartoon, identifying the character names, and the thought came into my head thinking am I going to need to buy action figures of this? Turns out there's somewhat crude Bandai and SH Figuarts.

Back in school days, I bought a few packs and the transparent garbage can of the tiny pink figures and I don't think USA had the cartoons, so didn't really know the character names. One guy looked like Hulk Hogan, one like a Von Erich, one like some sort of rock guy almost like Fantastic Four Thing, one guy almost like Dragon Quest Golem. Dug them up not long ago while trying to find my old GI Joes and the plastic still seems in decent shape. No idea what kind of plastic was used.

I still have a bunch of those guys, the usual pink/flesh and some of the later produced colors.

Never was able to snag the claw/hand in the nestle promos as a wee lad..

Wound up with two a few years ago though.

Dwight said in the livestream Gamerverse black suit Kingpin is made of Mr. Fixit parts. I already made the BAF into Kingpin, so not absolutely sure I'll order deluxe Amazon Kingpin which definitely is better than MCU NBA skinny Kingpin.

All new parts Gamerverse Symbiote Spidey looks kinda good, but looks like teenage Spidey. My first ML was MCU Spidey which is teenager and pretty small.

Unusual for me, normally there's something I would pop for but it's all gamerverse and I don't know anything about it. I like the look of the Kingpin but he's not "my" Kingpin in the white suit and retro carded .....no sign of him in the UK apart from eBay or ship from the US which I might do....


Lol , I just saw this whilst looking around for Kingpin and Mysterio figures...




Guess he really is the Master of Illusion, he's fucking disappeared!

I had fucking shitloads of Muscles. Like a massive box full of them, they were kinda useless though looking back - you couldn't really do much with them.

some of the suit decisions definitely could have been more inspired, & a full GamerVerse wave isn’t something that really interests me, but ofc i’ll end up whoring myself out for these because Spidey

never. i only use Ali Express if i am purposefully buying a CT Toys knockoff of a Revoltech/MAFEX/SHF figure

The first ML Kingpin is a fatso. The Mr. Fixit body Kingpin is closer to a Netflix Daredevil Kingpin.

Seems like Super7 ReAction+ GI Joe Wave 3 is cartoon Snake Eyes, arctic Cobra Commander, Wild Bill, Cold Slither color change Zartan.

Not excited about this wave, but might buy cartoon SE which I'm guessing is a repaint of the blue boots version.
