Apologies for the 4 post.

The new ML MCU aliens two pack with four arms reminds me of Ninjago Garmadon.

At both Walmart and Target, saw SHF SSJ Vegeta.

Ordered these today -

Mandolorian Credit Collection Tattoine version
Mandolorian Bo-Katan Credit Collection
Professor X Warlord X-Men retro

All 6 inchers.

Had ordered the Warlord from Hasbro but it rejected payment ( probably cos I'm in the UK and they're charging the card from Holland) . Every time I try to sign in I have to do the whole forgotten password thing and I key that in and it says it isn't valid. So , I got pissed off and found out that Warlord was in stock elsewhere and bought it from there with Bo-Katan.

Need Cara Dune from the Mandolorian Credit Collection and that's the lot I think . Might be an eBay job.

I went to my local Target two days ago and I saw two of those chase figures I posted above. Sportsmaster and Reverse-Flash. There they were two platinum figures on the peg. I figured that I'll purchase them and if I won the draw, I'd just take them back for a refund. Turns out, I didn't get either of them in the draw, but I did get Manhunter.

A bird in the hand beat the two in the bush. :)

I snagged these two at Walmart today.

That Star Wars Walker is HUGE! If it's your type of thing, snag one, I think you'll like it.

I can't tell if I like the new Batman one or not, but I do still need to pick up Warmachine for sure.

I paid about £9 for that on a deal a couple of days ago and picked it up from my local Amazon locker today along with a Paddington Funko Pop and a Lego Dragon for my wife's birthday. She's year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar so I got the cheap one as a joke ....

I'm going to start collecting Pokemon cards. I don't know anything about it. I want to start with a box set of individual packs. I might get lucky and get a super valuable card. Plus they look nice.

This short vid gave me the idea and it beats buying lottery tickets and scratchoffs.

The Charizard the kid had looked super cool to me.

I don't know where to start. There's so many different boxes. I don't want to get the boolshit so if anyone knows anything, help me out

Lol , he keeps popping up on my feed regularly too.

I know nothing about Pokémon, sorry, apart from watching the cartoons in my early 20s and knowing some of the names.

My local shop has a huge trade in them but I try to stay away as I know that's a rabbit hole I don't want to go down .

I wish I could help you bud, but I know less than zero about Pokemon card values.

It's a shame because my son got a buttload of them while we were in Japan.

I know the Japanese ones are often popular because of the artwork being better I believe.

Here's a link to the app that the one dealer was talking about.

I'm going to download it and scan some of my son's cards.

I'm studying the Pokemon cards on Reddit from the Pokemon experts. So far they are saying Emerald, Obsidian Fire, Crown Zenith are the ones to get. I see the Japanese box sets now too.

I might get these boxes and never open them. Just stick them in my closet. Buy a box a month.

TCG collecting is dangerous business. I would suggest you have fun opening packs, and never, ever, ever, buy singles. Enjoy what you get and don't lust after a specific target. The market for new sets tends to be volatile, and the cards with more established value are going to be from long OOP sets.

Set a budget. Stick to it. Don't chase. Don't treat it as an investment.

I ordered a box of Pokemon Obsidian Flames to start. $120 for the box

I also did a Google search and there's a Pokemon card center in my town. You can buy cards and they have tournaments. I'm sure they probably do Magic the Gathering and Warhammer too. It's one of those types of places.

I'm going to start hanging out and learning the trade

I'm not going to go crazy with it. 1 box set a month.

Now if I do see a nice card I like for $15 or $20 that I don't have, I probably get one every now and then.

Card-crack and plastic-crack do tend to go hand-in-hand. Lots of overlap in those communities. MTG, DnD, and 40k are the holy trinity of sweaty nerd dungeons.
