Then he shouldn't be there. It sucks for him but he needs to be in the back where no one can hear him or something like that or just watch from a TV in back room. Nobody should have to hear horrible insults shouted at them during this time just to accommodate him and his disease.

A film that was nominated for awards was about his life. Of course he should be allowed to be there.

The issue with your theory is that everyone knows what the N word is so he doesn't need friends making him aware of it. He knows it's inappropriate to say the word in that circumstance which is exactly why his condition makes him do it.
