Topuria is the best UFC striker of all time

Prime Aldo would have given him a hell of a fight. There are several FWs & LWs I could say the same about.

Far too early in his career to make sweeping statements like your OP so I won't address that further. As usual when a newer fighter comes with exceptional though not groundbreaking talent (in ilia's case tidy boxing for an MMA fighter and an educated ground game) people begin frothing at the mouth & succumb to hyperbole.
If Aldo is getting slept by one punch, Ilia is sleeping Aldo over 5. Ain't no one is scared of Aldo's pillow hands and legs.

Whoever is top of new generation gets called best of all time. Topuria is good as hell, but let's see how he holds the test of time.

I don't like putting guys who streak wins with unranked competition, then beat a few top guys and leave. Reason Khabib is kept off goat lists.

Topuria hasn't shown a great diversity of striking skills, he sort of runs the same setup. I'm sure whoever ends up being the best striker of all time will get more finishes than Silva and strikes every situation.
Hasn't shown a great diversity of striking skills? Literally the most impressive boxing in the entirety of the UFC of all time. Pipe down kid.

May be but he didn't do enough to say that right now.

Ilia's resume contains :
- BJJ specialist Ryan Hall who is one trick pony.
- Bryce Mitchell whose striking is like his conspiracy theories - weird.
- Josh Emmett who is powerful but anyone technical is beating him. Still good showing tho.
- C-level LW guy Jai Herbert with whom Topuria had some troubles.
- Past Prime Volk who didn't do anything both in their fight and in second Islam fight.
- The only elite Topuria win - Max Holloway who was still in twilight of his prime when Ilia defeated him. He even did impossible and KOed him. GREAT great showing.

Still not enough.
LOL you dorks changing history now saying Volk is past it just to try and minimize the importance of the win for Ilia. Get the fuck outta here. Two fights before he had the p4p #1 now and one of the p4p #1's of all time go life and death.

To say all time is too premature for that claim. You’re talking about thousands of fighters since the beginning of the sport until now. Ilia has crisp boxing but he hasn’t wiped out his division yet. Just because he KO’ed Volk and Max doesn’t prove he’s the best striker.

Max is a great striker but he was getting a run for his money against Yair on the feet, got out boxed by Dustin, and got out struck by Conor. Before Volk got that clean counter on Yair, he was wrestling him the entire match. Styles make fights, and maybe someone like Yair or Edson Barboza at 145 can pose different threats to Ilia. In their current position, that will not happen.
Name a fighter with more impressive technical boxing than Ilia.

His boxing is amazing, just saying it's not like he's Silva or Jones throwing everything like kicks or elbows. I'm a huge fan of his.
Who needs elbows and kicks when you have dynamite hands. Now I will say the OP should have differentiated striking with boxing. Ilia is the greatest boxer in the UFC of all time. Striker, maybe in the future. Lets see. But the eye test NEVER LIES.

I think topuria is legit and will best Islam. That being said this must be a troll posting or some other shit. Dude has like 5 fights and 3 against good fighters. I guess Tom's the all time goat heavyweight and ank beats prime Jones. Relax
Its not crazy to say Ilia is the greatest boxer of all time in the UFC. Eyes we all have it. Striking is something else, this is where the OP went wrong.

'Everyone has tried to box with him, they've all failed, I wouldnt have a boxing match with him, im not an idiot' - Paddy Plimsole

Ah yes the dude who got sent to the shadow realm is better than the guy who sent him there {<hhh]

Didn’t say he was better. I’m just using TS’ logic. Anderson finished Chael twice, and that was one of the examples TS used to discredit him. See how that works? Don’t bring a knife to a gun fight. Think before you reply.

I disagree Chael lost the first fight. Silva just won the last round. So on the score cards its 49-46. Its just the way the current unified rules are which doesn't reflect who actually won the fight. Ilia in terms of Jai sent that dude to a realm where he could never continue the fight. Chael got straight up after "tapping" - which Im suspicious was a tap. Seems like the ref was trigger happy. Your hands do all sorts of movements when getting choked.

Ben Askren was the best striker in the ufc. He had a very strong headbutt it just kept backfiring.

Didn't we have this thread last week? Oh right...Poatan sucks now that he lost.
