Topuria is the best UFC striker of all time

1. he's only fought a few fights so far. The best striker is someone who can adapt to those who are looking to exploit their flaws. So far almost nobody has been studying him, gameplanning how to beat him.
2. Only fought a few good strikers. Not seen him deal with enough styles.
3. Outstruck by Volk and wasn't looking so great against Max at the beginning. He relies on his power to get it done.

He'd need to fight more strikers, to see him solve a bunch of puzzles. Plus face some who have more power to put him at risk (besides Emmett). How does he deal with someone who's more of an active kicker? How does he deal with the clinch?
He has some of the best MMA boxing for sure. I dunno if it's the best, but it's up there and improving. But there are other great ones like Yan, Poatan, Cong.

OF ALLL TIME HE SAYS LOL LOL.

this new “breed” of fans disrespects their elders like it’s nothing. Whoever/whatever is “new” is branded the GOAT.

I sure would not want to be an elderly in a home these days with this delusional, disrespectful delirious disgusting demented generation.

Any top 10 fighter would destroy past champions with ease

Calm down there dear, you sound aggressive. Its not up for us to change your mind.

He has had 1 title defense lol, kids just starting. Anderson who you are talking about had 16 title fights. We can come back to this IF he has had 16 title defenses and how those fights went to get a true gauge on this all.
Topuria would have Anderson Silva sleeping on the canvas in less than three rounds

False. Anderson got dropped by Chael, he was never "outstriked."

And in that same vein:

Jai Herbert dropped Topuria with a head kick.

Can't say he's "showed zero flaws in his striking" when he almost got finished there.

Silva got outstriked the whole fight and got saved by god at the very end, Topuria sent Jai Herbert to sleep just after getting hit with that headkick

With a big mouth and wanna be Connor you don't make the best ever, he still has to prove it in the coming years

Change my mind.

Silva was overrated, got outstriked by Chael Sonnen. Pereira has no defense. I could go on, seriously.

Topuria showed zero flaws in his striking.
He's the GSOAT (Greatest Striker Of All Time).

I recall when Petr Yan was called the same thing. Then he lost a few fights and people stopped saying that.

Once Topuria loses a few fights, he'll be another "never was any good" like Yan, and like Poatan this week.

Ankalaev is the best striker of all time. He outstruck the other best striker of all time Pereira, so now he holds the throne.

Ban these newbs please.

I think topuria is legit and will best Islam. That being said this must be a troll posting or some other shit. Dude has like 5 fights and 3 against good fighters. I guess Tom's the all time goat heavyweight and ank beats prime Jones. Relax

hahah

lol.

I really like Ilia´s style and his technical boxing and amazing atlheticism, but don´t rush things.

He is one of the best strikers nowadays, but still doesn´t enter the all time zone.

To say all time is too premature for that claim. You’re talking about thousands of fighters since the beginning of the sport until now. Ilia has crisp boxing but he hasn’t wiped out his division yet. Just because he KO’ed Volk and Max doesn’t prove he’s the best striker.

Max is a great striker but he was getting a run for his money against Yair on the feet, got out boxed by Dustin, and got out struck by Conor. Before Volk got that clean counter on Yair, he was wrestling him the entire match. Styles make fights, and maybe someone like Yair or Edson Barboza at 145 can pose different threats to Ilia. In their current position, that will not happen.

May be but he didn't do enough to say that right now.

Ilia's resume contains :
- BJJ specialist Ryan Hall who is one trick pony.
- Bryce Mitchell whose striking is like his conspiracy theories - weird.
- Josh Emmett who is powerful but anyone technical is beating him. Still good showing tho.
- C-level LW guy Jai Herbert with whom Topuria had some troubles.
- Past Prime Volk who didn't do anything both in their fight and in second Islam fight.
- The only elite Topuria win - Max Holloway who was still in twilight of his prime when Ilia defeated him. He even did impossible and KOed him. GREAT great showing.

Still not enough.

Whoever is top of new generation gets called best of all time. Topuria is good as hell, but let's see how he holds the test of time.

I don't like putting guys who streak wins with unranked competition, then beat a few top guys and leave. Reason Khabib is kept off goat lists.

Topuria hasn't shown a great diversity of striking skills, he sort of runs the same setup. I'm sure whoever ends up being the best striker of all time will get more finishes than Silva and strikes every situation.

Ilia Topuria is well rounded but leans heavily on his self proclaimed, "next level" striking. So far that claim seems to be working, but his experience in the deep end isn't as vast as many of the others. Now that he let his FW championship go to move up to LW, this will be very interesting to see how he does.

Teh top three (LHW) 205 pounders make for a fascinating division at teh top. Alex Periera has become the most famous using his standoop style, & the guy who just took his title, Magomed Ankalaev is typically similar, though he did have to rely on his extensive knowledge & skills of his ground game to barely squeek out a controversial decision while missing a dozen or so TD attempts. Rematch is incoming. Though he wasn't able to land any TD's, he basically won by stalling on the fence, so maybe he's not a great example. Jiri Prochazka is stand up through & through, but needs to solve his kryptonite which is Alex Periera. His style relies on "controlled chaos" & so not as refined as it probably should be, & he said as much after losing to Alex, so he has potential but isn't quite there yet.

Sean O'Malley has KO power & very crafty sniper like striking. He admitted that he needs to work more on rounding his game after being exposed by Merab who is ground heavy. He's a very colorful character & a lot of fun inside & outside teh octagon.

Dricus Du Plessis literally studied his hero Robert Whitaker's style for years before beating him at his own game. He has great ground game too, but leans very heavily on his striking.

Tom Aspinall is extremely over-hyped compared to his accomplishments, but he has the potential to Make HW Great Again. If they can ever get past Jon Jones stalling teh division from teh top, the 2 would make for a must see fight. Otherwise he could use his KO power with wrestling skills to live oop to his hype. Once again, however... HW has a lot of gate keepers which make teh division a little less interesting.

For teh Women Valentina Shevchenko has been a long time champ with a primarily stand-oop but well rounded game, that very few have been able to solve.

Zhang Weili is next level, answering any of her doubters by beating a wrestling heavy title challenger, by not only outstriking her, but dominating teh ground game as well.

There's more up & comerz, but those are the standouts at teh top that are dominating their divisionz primarily with striking.
