Topboxer headgear?

So please fill me in here. I saw haymaker advertising on IG and saw they’re local to me and appear to be claiming to be like TopBoxer but I’m guessing they’re not.
When I tried to find reviews or info I got nothing.

They’re junk right? What’s the story there?

Basically haymaker got standard ass Pakistan gloves like the dime a dozen glove companies out there now. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about the owner angel being super shady and not sending gloves out or refunding peoples money. I think Fit2box dude got a free pair so of course he gave the shit great reviews. Den I guess csquared probably tried getting gloves at some point and was shafted then put them on blast which was pretty funny to see but at least he spoke tha real on it

I forgot to mention the reviews u do see of the haymaker gear is from all his homies or people he know lmao u can even see that haymaker is the one who post da reviews. Yeah that’s not biased at all... cough sarcasm

Well, I can't say anything about their gloves as I was one of the people that never got their gloves after ordering using the promotion F*t2B*x did on the brand. However, another person from my gym found someone online that was trying to sell their Haymaker Gloves with these pictures. According to the seller, the glove was falling apart since the beginning and parts of it broke apart from the inside. The seller also mention that these clay pieces(?) were used for padding or to add weight to the gloves? Not sure the validity of these claims but don't really care as I will never do business with that brand again.

Clay? Wow...

Clay? Wow...

According to my friend that saw the description, the seller said it was clay, but it could be really low quality foam. However, foam wouldn't dried up like that and crack, so I'm not certain what it is. I'm more surprised by the white material in the 2nd photo that looks exactly like the foam of packing peanuts that I use to line packages.... I think these gloves gives even Pakistani Gloves a bad name.

I don't think anyone needs to go Haymaker anymore for custom gloves with all inexpensive Pakistani Glove manufacturers around (like Infinitude, even though I'm not a big fan of them).

Just got TopBoxers Mexican style headgear in the mail. Haven’t used it yet but it’s the same great quality as the gloves.

Very comfortable once you get the laces tied how you want. I have a fat head so I had to get the size large.
I would have liked it if the stock headguard was like the Japanese style with the raised front cheeks but not really a big deal.
The leather quality feels top notch and overall I think this is a good piece. It weighs in at 13oz

How come you didn't get the Japanese style headgear he makes? It has the raised cheeks. Love the color you picked btw, gear looks great.

Japanese Style is only available as a custom option ($150). The Mexican Style is available as a stock option ($89). I wanted the raised cheeks but didn’t feel like waiting 8-10wks to have custom made. In addition he gave me a smoking deal on the headgear because of a slight mix up on my gloves purchase.

Thanks about the colors, I think TopBoxer did a great job making everything.

Follow up on this post. I’ve used the TopBoxer headgear a good bit now and have taken some hard shots to the head and face with it on.
In regards to the raised cheeks, they’re not necessary. I’ve taken a few hard shots directly to the middle of the face/nose area and my nose has been completely protected. I was worried before because my nose sticks out a bit but the cheeks on this headguard do plenty to keep my nose safe.
I will say I’m extremely glad I did not get the face saver. This one is good enough and I could not imagine trying to not get hit with a giant bar blocking my visibility.

I want to share my Haymaker story here, the same as the story I share ob Fit2B video.
I order their gloves sometimes around early April 2018 and then asked them again and again if they can make the gloves and send it to me no later than 1st of July because i would be out of the country for 2 months vacation. They agree though.
And middle of June came and no gloves, asking them on IG and they pretty much stop replying.
When F2B uploaded his video i came there and share this and they told me they already ship it and send me an email which is a lied. They haven’t contacted me since they avoided replying to my question.
Well, i should have smell something fishy when i made a payment. They don’t use Paypal but some kind of one way money sending stuffs so when I asked for a re fund, they have all the power to not do it.
Well, suck to be me paying ~200 for nothing.

I have ordered the japanese style raised cheeck headgear.

and I am glad to see this review that the protection for the nose is awesome :)

I have a facesaver from TopBoxer and I was satisfied with it due to the lightness and nice visibility.

Now I want to try something different so I have ordered it, well basically I just want to own a lot of equipment lol

After sparring with the headgear on, how was your head? Did you have any headache??

Very cool, be sure to post pics on here. What colors did you get?

You’ll be good to go with the raised cheeks, they would be nice to have. Plenty of protection without them but with them you’ll probably never get touched in the nose.

As far as a headache, the only issue I had was on the first day because I didn’t loosen the back laces enough. As soon as I gave myself some slack and got the fit right, ive been good to go.

Hi, i I have an Title Boxing Platinum headgear and Ringside Facesaver.
I want to buy second open face style headgear ( Topboxer Gladiator) but i don't decide to choose Topboxer Gladiator or Uma R9 headgear . Ringside Mexi-flex other option.

What is your opinion guys ? Eye protection is important for my job.

Thanks for helping me out

Has anyone here used the TB headgear? I'm currently looking for another headgear to try against my R2C headgear. I'm a big fan of Topboxers gear and just got my own gloves from him, so please let me know your experiences using his headgear so I can think about buying my own from him

I’ve got their Mexican Style headgear and I like it a lot. Really well made, all leather construction, simple and effective. I don't have a huge head but size Large fits me well. Good nose coverage, although it only covers your cheeks, and very comfortable to wear. Got it in the green color and it looks very nice.

I had the same experience. I think that TB design is very good because the cheek pads ends are very close to the nose so is still kind of covered. My experience is that after setting up the laces then is super easy to get it on and off. No help needed and great coverage without feeling constricted. My only gripe is with my 16oz Win1, they are beautiful and well made but the hand compartment got even bigger and now my hand is flapping inside. I might get a pair in 14oz. But they are pillows and great for sparring.
