Top King Super Air 16oz

How the TK compare to Twins or Fairtex in regards to the finger pocket ? I have long fingers and find the Twins too short. The Fairtex fits pretty good. Even the breathable one. My hands are normal in size, its just those damn long fingers lol

If Twins are too short for your fingers, so too will Top King be too short as well.

Crap !!!!! Thanks for the reply. I guess I just saved some money

If i were you I would just bite the bullet and grab some Firtex BGV1's. It sound like they will cover al lyour bases. Good thai glove, good finer pocket, not too tight, breaks in well. Youll get 5 Years out of them if you treat em right.

BTW Good call on saving up. When it comes to the hands, you HAVE TO INVEST. A bad glove can damage you in ways that are unfair, but when you pull the trigger too soon that's what happens.

I might get the Fairtex BGV1 afterall. I have the BGV9's for bag and pad work and they are just amazing.

There is a good deal on amazon.ca for the breathable but its says bag gloves....are the breathable bag gloves only or they just got it wrong ?

What about the KOFightgear gloves ? Are they ok for long hands ?

The BGV1 is a solid all around glove. It's not the BEST sparring glove, but tons of people use it for it of the box softness. The only difference between the breathable and non breathable is a mesh palm. It's kind of a glove that is want you make it. You use it for bag it'll compress and get stiff. Use it as a sparring glove and it will keep its plumpness and be a good performer.

I haven't tried the mesh palm fairtex, but I have tried regular BGV1's. I just went with top king.

KO Foghtgear has a great sparring glove, However O have heard from guys I know it could be a little more forgiving on the receiving end, but gloves are made to protect hands Lol.

If you have fairtex bag gloves, I wouls just get the BGV1. DO NOT GET THE OTHER fairtex spar glove. I can't recall the name if I find it I'll tell you.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

That'd be the "Super Sparring" BGV5 and its bastard cousin, the "Stylish Angular" BGV6. Terrible gloves compared to the BGV1, which IMHO are second only to the Twins BGVL3 for "best" MT sparring gloves (the Top Kings would be nice if my hands actually fit properly in them LOL).

Harukaze how big are your hands? My middle finger is about 3.5" from where the finger starts and i get a good fit in 10oz topkings.

Or maybe i dont lol.....You have me second guessing myself with your sorcery!

Thanks a lot guys for the help.
For sure, you're very welcome!

From the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger is almost 8 inches, middle digit length is a bit over 3.5 inches. I have long slender hands that aren't very wide or thick though. My hands felt cramped in 16 oz. Top Kings and absolutely did not fit lengthwise in 16 oz. Boons haha! However, with a good wrap with ribboning (Thai-style), I find my hands don't shift much in Fairtex BGV1 either. Interesting, innit?

Just got my 2nd pair of TK gloves, this time i went for the "empower" model.

Both pairs SAY they are 16s but BARELY weigh 15oz (416gms), do the Thais weigh the gloves differently or something, kinda bummed this pair isnt heavier :(

I haven't run across a thai brand glove yet that is on weight. Fairfax I heard is heavier then the stated weight while others are damn light.

True that my BGV1's are the only thai gloves ive had that are actually 16's never weighed my twins gloves but they do feel heavier than my TK's.
