Nah, it's just manlet's are just far more adapt at aging gracefully.

I'm digging the Connelly casting.

Maybe that's why I'm aging at a slower pace than most people my age.

I agree about JC getting cast. :p

I'm digging the Connelly casting.

Me too. Quite a lot actually. I was wondering who could possibly be a worthy love interest and I'd say she fits the bill perfectly. Seeing her and Cruise together is actually an exciting thought. She never once crossed my mind so this was both surprising and much welcome.

I hope they use the the "Take My Breath Away" love theme again. And I hope Maverick puts the moves on her like he did to McGuillis.

Ass to ass with Connelly and Mcgillis?

If she had kept herself up, I guarantee you she would have been in this movie.

Christ, it's literally unbelievable how bad she's let herself go. What in the actual fuck.

Like I could see her making a cameo if she looked like this:

I'm assuming Kelly was older than Cruise to begin with, so of course she's gonna look way older now.

The news quoted Cruise at red carpet premiere saying it's a done deal for Jennifer Connelly in Top Gun 2. I hope they make use of her willingness to go topless and bottomless and make it rated R.

She's only 5 years older than Cruise, yet she looks like she could be 15 years older.

Set It Up Actor Glen Powell to Join Tom Cruise in TOP GUN Sequel After All

KF9wWXI.jpg

Glen Powell will be headed into the danger zone, after all. The actor, who stars in Netlix’s Set It Up, is in talks to join the cast of Paramount’s Top Gun sequel.

The move happens after Powell was in contention for — and lost — the part of Goose’s son, which will be played by Miles Teller.

Joseph Kosinski, who directed Cruise in the sci-fi thriller Oblivion, is directing the long-in-the-works sequel to the seminal 1986 movie that starred Tom Cruise as the hotshot pilot with the call sign Maverick.

In June, young Hollywood actors were champing at the bit to play the son of Goose, Maverick’s wingman who dies in a tragic accident in the original movie. The testing process, which involved flying to Cruise’s home in Clearwater, Florida, saw the finalists come down to Powell and Teller, with Teller ultimately winning.

But Cruise, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and execs at Paramount and Skydance were so impressed with Powell that they tried to find another part for the actor. In fact, the movie’s makers are so intent on having Powell that they are beefing up the role for him.

Details of Powell's role are being kept in the hangar. Powell played astronaut John Glenn in Hidden Figures and appeared in Scream Queens.

Glen Powell is a better fit as Goose's son.

No way does this movie live up to the amazingness of the original.
I thought Top Gun was awesome as a kid. I watched it again a couple years ago, and I realized my childhood view of this movie was totally skewed. For example, I thought Val Kilmer's character "ICE" was the villain of the movie. As an adult, I found him way more reasonable, and I thought Tom Cruise's character was actually the asshole of the movie. I think Top Gun is a fun movie (like so many other 80's box office hits), but I also think it is a little campy and overrated by today's standards.

JC is an anorexic fucking mutant now. Weighs like 42 pounds. I don’t want to see that shit.

Went from one of the most beautiful women ever to a disgusting freak show in record time.

I'll just lock her up in a mcdonald's for 4 days.

Fucking double post.

Anyway, in Goose' family tradition, his son should die as well.
