Hey guys !
I am about to pull the plug on some Top Boxer Win1 stock gloves from his Ebay store and I would like to know how is the padding for heavy bag use only.

Is it really soft, hard or just in between ?

Other then winning , you would compare it to what other gloves ?

Thanks.

14oz is pretty hard still after a hundred or so rounds of varied training. They are smack in the middle of BGV1 and BGV9 of the gloves I've owned. I'd say the padding is the least impressive aspect though. Good not great.

16oz stock Win1 is thickly padded and soft and pillowy. I've a 12oz custom which is pretty soft also but that was from a few years ago.

I have the 16oz, which allegedly have different padding than the sizes under. The padding is very thick and soft, for hitting the bag it results in more of a thud than a sharp pop. The punch seems to dissipate throughout the padding rather than giving feedback directly to the hand. I now use them only for sparring. If you are buying for just bagwork 12/14 sound like they should do the job well.

I got a pair in 12oz today. The padding's significantly different to 16oz.

16oz is very thick and pillowy and soft (ideal for sparring).

12oz is very firm with kind of a memory foam feeling to it. More wrist support than at 16oz because of the overall firmness. But apparently the gloves lower in weight than 16oz will become softer in future and more like the 16oz (although still not quite as soft).

Cool ! And your mutant hands fits properly in those 12oz ?

Thanks man !!! Such a difference in regards to the lenght of the finger pocket. I think the 12 oz would fit my hands.

I have a pair of Topboxer 12 oz velcro and 16 oz lace ups. I can confirm that the 12's are harder and more compact padding - make a nice pop - compared to the 16 oz.
The 12's got better in overall fit the more I used them and are my favorite pair of gloves. Make a nice "pop" but I don't punch through the padding.

The 16's are great but definitely much less feedback when punching. Wish I had gotten a 16 oz velcro pair as well but the wife says I have too many as it is.

Yeah, my partner has that silly false belief as well.

Get the 16oz pair. Just have them posted to your work.

My custom 12oz are still nice and firm after owning them for a year.

IMG_5096.JPG Top boxer sent me pics of my gloves, I also got a pair of his "Alien" line for my kids. I'm VERY happy with his work. I haven't received them yet, he still has to embroider the Alien gloves for me which he did for no additional charge. The guy truly cares about his customers. I will be buying from him again!!

Hello do you know if the padding on the 12/14oz have become softer like the 16oz or still more firm?

i plan t get custom top boxer gloves soon winning padding but with grant tripple cuffs just for the look hope they last me awhile only gonna use them for sparring

If anyone has both the Win1 and Alien models, I’d like to hear a comparison. I have the Win1s and am debating getting a custom pair modeled on the Alien gloves.

I have both, but I think it's going to be down to personal preference at the end. I love the Alien series over the Win1 for better feedback, but the opposite for my buddy at the gym who thinks the Win1 is the most balanced. However, we can agree on both are pretty well made and worth the money. If you think the Win1 are too pillowy, you might want to consider going Alien next.
