Oh boy. This has been debated for years and years on other forums. Ranger School grads (of which Cotton is) calling themselves a Ranger instead of Ranger qualified may or may not be correct depending on who you ask. @Mike Hagger

@San Marino too. You were never a Ranger according to the TS. :D

The very first sentence of that article tells you exactly where that author is coming from. I'll be skeptical until audiovideo surfaces where Cotton makes claims tantamount to stolen valor. That's a serious charge, as it should be, and anybody guilty of that should not hold office anywhere. It's a horrible disservice to the men and women of the armed forces. But yeah, that article sucks balls.

Cotton made it through Ranger School. He also served in both Afghan and Iraq as an infantry officer. This is nothing close to stolen valor at all. The same people who debate this are the same ones who still think Jesse Ventura wasn't a SeAL.
Unfortunte that the TS once again fell for it.

Interesting. Seems crazy that somebody would write an article with a serious charge like stolen valor, when it is easily disprovable. But, if you read the article, it doesn't appear the author is very stable as it is.

It really all depends on who you ask. I wish @Mike Hagger was on right now. Of course most who served in the 75th would say he's not but they have an obvious bias.
Cotton also has a CIB from his time overseas. The blue cord and crossed rifles mean infantry.

Waiting a legit source that’s citing real videos or written sources by cotton. Will withhold opinion until then

Oof, the Salon writer thinks Ranger School is in Ft Eustis.

And of course the TS logged off. <Lmaoo>

Stick a fork in this one, boys.
