Tom Clancy's: The Division 2 - Official Thread

Gotcha. Well, hopefully I'll start getting those soon since I have four mods I can't use.
Love that you're into this, T bud. Cherish these days of four. Reconciling mods and gear with build goals is arguably the TD2 cross to bear. And rest assured, the most ill-vanquishable, cold-hearted foe in-game will soon become your stash. :p

I'm glad leveling up doesn't take forever in this game.. I just hit 13. Although after doing that Dark Zone mission and seeing there's separate level just for the dark zone, it was another... what else is there? moment.

Got you. It's a badge of pride though that gives the DZ its own flavour. I fought tooth and nail to hold onto my lvl 50 Dark because you'll come to find interesting perks to levelling there versus LZ. Love the LZ pacing too; levelling always feels good. I relish going after AI that used to give me trouble and cane them like they owe me money.

T, you can down-level upon KIA if I wasn't clear about that, which is never the case in LZ.

@TeTe

What weapons have you been liking for primary and sidearm? I assume the 700 is still your secondary.

Still using the 700 as the secondary but I've been switching it up it seems every level for my primary depending on what I come across. Although I do like the M4 in general and I just got a blueprint for the police M4 which I just crafted. Seems to have the best damage/fire rate combo out of any gun. The blueprinted version is nice too. I see myself crafting/modding to the gills the M4 every couple of levels from here on out.

Preach. Police M4 is my favourite AR in the game and before I got into shotguns, I remember feeling out-of-element using anything else. Not sure what your drops have been like but for me, it rained LMGs night and day; any other pick-up piqued my curiosity. Early game FWIW, I do recommend a double-barrel sawed-off for sidearm when rushed on or surprised; I'll talk to RNGesus for you and see what He can do. At higher levels, not so much but by then you'll have fun alternatives + holster to outfit yourself with. I don't know that the sawed-off has a mod for flashlight either, which may or may not factor into your personal God-build.

What do you do with these system and protocol mods?

Got your back. If this doesn't help, then let me know what you're puzzled over. It's a lot to take in when you first begin.

Boom level 18

Just unlocked bounties. I'm guessing you just go to the targets on the map and they start?

So I was able to use one of these system mods on my armor... So is it reusable or once I attach it, it's permanent?

Freely mod and unmod. I never like when games demand a skill or whatnot be unlocked to 'tinker' modifications as it were, so smart question.

Super fun. Congrats. Yep. Two tips if I may are if you're having trouble locating the HVT(s) but you've canvassed the area through and through, check for subterranean ingress nearby whether manhole or basement stairs; this will save you serious headache and which leads me to tip 2.

Take care of biz in-game, lavatory, or whatever before initiating a bounty as the clock is ticking – once target or outfit is in a touchable proximity, timer subsides and you can collect yourself behind cover or plan accordingly; your intel is limited (the 'currency' by which bounties are activated) and bounties can fail. Intel is readily around but capped for holding at any one time so it's smart not to treat it as an infatigable resource. Your 'intel' is knowing the real-time whereabouts of HVT(s), so even if you botch it and upon failure curse the mechanic (it will happen, lol), it makes sense that they would up and move once they get wind of an agent coming for them; you're essentially trying to beat a snitch/messenger who's coming to tell them you're coming.
