What specifically, bud? To throw something best practice at you, do you and run the LZ campaign; in course, you will be tasked with a no-combat reconnaissance of each DZ, allowing you to have a look-see without being forced into a my-loot-or-yours showdown. Big picture, it's a clannish PvP arena with more unwritten rules than written; extracting contaminated gear or besting other agents are the whys; a lot of dudes think it should be a standalone mode as in how Ghost Recon did it and not coalesced as it were. When not on an empty server, camping has become a problem so spawn points offer little in ways of reprieve after you're downed; kind of a PITA.

Sounds like something I want to avoid lol, but I think in order to fully upgrade the two safe house you have to do some Dark Zone mission.

There honestly isn't a lot of reason to mix it up in there with the current state of RNG unless you want player scalps – be mindful too of an armour glitch that has some dudes running virtually impervious to whatever DMG you're outputting. I will say there's obviously an adrenalin rush to decontaminate and bag an extraction (each will be delivered by helicopter to your stash for collection at your convenience) but getting robbed of your shit can be truly aggravating; no question either on dudes having dance emotes ready for your corpse, lol. It's easy to write it off here but in the moment, it completely sucks. The PvE is honestly great and will provide 100+ hours of challenging entertainment. My total playtime is around 460 hours and I reckon 15% of that is DZ, being frank. I whored early in there but didn't like the gains in the end; like I said, it takes from you before it gives.

If you're on Xbone, you get an achievement for extracting your first piece of gear from the DZ. It's actually a rare achievement. I lucked up on an empty part of the map, with an extract zone nearby, called for the helo, and camped my butt off so no one would cut the rope! :)

There's so much going on in this game! Hit level 5 and not close to figuring it out lol

I have a feeling I'm going to be blowing through these story missions long before I even get close to finishing this side stuff/achievements.

Are the numbers next to people's name the level they are?

Correct, up until lvl 30, after which you enter into a triple-digit system (ceiling 500) that averages your total gear but it's…a work in progress, so don't reckon outright anyone above you is 'better' or has more a 'survivability' factor. Other numbers you'll see are one's (score for) commendation medals received but should be in accompaniment of an orange icon, iirc, and these scores will likely also be in the hundreds+. Those with an acronymic and bracketed something XYZ are clanned up – these being more or less their clan colours. You should see real-time leaderboards for clans at BoO (White House).

Ha, yep. I had to do similar feats as well as the rope-cutting to get my platinum trophy. Felt like a grubby opportunist because I did it outside of party conflict; just some packless wolf trying to take something home with him but ended up getting robbed blind. I made a big splash with fired shots and a grenade to spoof skirmish, by that luring him to one side of the area where I then fell back; the helo is carrying and about to take off but he's defending his find from the 'skirmishing' side, so I reenter from out of the trees on the other side, mad-dash to chopper, cut and run, leaving him to fight another day. The adrenalin upon escape had me absolutely wired, lol.

I feel like an idiot. I thought putting up the items to upgrade the table to 500 were going to come out 500. Nope. Just consumes them. That's fucking stupid.

I was playing Odyssey earlier and saw the update push. Definitely want to check out.

<GinJuice>

I fucking gave away my Gila Guard holster :mad:

Lost weapon damage and hazard protection. I'm pissed.

Oh shit. With the boost to skills...I might check out the directive set

I have a decent pyro-loadout that used skill burn; might equip and see the difference. I heard skill builds have officially arrived with TU5. I never finished acquiring mats for the Hard Wired set but I might now as that had some interesting skill synergy.

BRUH!!!!

You've gotta right trigger those in your inventory so you'll put a star on them. That way you'll have to remove the star before you can deconstruct or sell them.

I learned that the hard way on my first P-416. :(

I've been on that exotic holster grind as of late. It sucks that you have to get the control point to level 4 before it'll even drop though!
