Tom Clancy's: The Division 2 - Official Thread

SPOILER ALERT (If you haven't hit level 30 yet)

So I hit level 30 and finished the main story line, and now I am fighting Black Tusk everywhere and they have frikking robot dogs.

I know from reading this thread that there is still a lot of gaming left for me to do, but I'm just saying: Robot dogs.

Just hit WT4. Seems like a huge step up from 3. First thing I did was craft mk16 replica that was 440. Then went out and did a control point and enemies were take 2-3 whole magazines to down. It did say it was level 2 alert, but I don't know what that means.

Nice. Yeah, first outings when having tiered are rough because you went from the big fish in a small pond to prawn again. The more activities you do – that is, disruption-bringing to whatever faction is now running the area, the more combat-readied they are for whoever's in the area trying to flex. Deescalation happens over a non-disruptive period and you'll see a prompt on-screen to that end, wherever you are in-world at that time. I think alert level 4 means you pissed them off to the max; the alert icon is hard to differentiate from the early-game Skill point triangle but it's quintessentially that, viewable on map too. The sponginess goes away and you'll be downing them again once beefed up.

Yep, ha. There's an airborne equivalent I won't spoil that scared the crap out of me when I first saw it. I was running for my life, lol. You digging the journey, Stab? What's your go-to loadout like?

I like it a lot and I am really hopeful that it keeps me engaged. Since I got bored with the first division after maxing out, I was pleasantly surprised to see the whole game take on a new flavour with more story missions, which basically work out to "Part 2" while still in the same game.

My power level is only about 250ish right now. I run a semiauto rifle with a 12X scope and either an SMG or a semiauto shotgun as my secondary, and I am running a sawed off shotgun as my emergency weapon. Fr the first half of the game I was using the healing hive and the Turret, but partway through I run the healing launcher and the seeker mine now.

I find that I really enjoy playing the game solo, but sometimes you just NEED backup to get through things, so I tend to run with randos and don't use a headset but it's a dope game.

I've got 204k armor with 100k health and 45% hazard protection (+13% to bleed and burn resist) and I still feel squishy as fuck lol

You and hazard are like milk and cookies. :p I'd lost bounties I had in the bag to bleed – very smart. Watching your HP slowly diminish from behind cover while full armour sits idly by is the definition of regret. Respect.

Hahaha I learned from D1. I never paid it any mind and I kept getting every effect under the sun.

Well. I joined a clan that some IRL friends of mine belong to and hooked up with them last night to run some random stuff. I jumped into their world.

I started off as power level 250 and by the time we were done running around randomly killing shit, I was 495 from all the stuff they were dropping for me. No regrets.

I know a lot of people would think "Wow, now you're an OP character" but after talking to them and discovering that you basically have 8 missions that you have to play over and over and over to tier-up your world level, I just don't care. I don't mind being OP for some of that grind. I thought that the introduction of the Black Tusk was a whole new "Part 2", and didn't realize it was just a re-grind mode.

You don't play 8 missions over and over. You beat the missions in a district which unlocks the stronghold and when you beat the stronghold it ups the world tier, then you don't have to do those missions again. They are new missions in the same building as the old missions.

That just sounds like replaying the story mode with different variations of enemies to me.

They have the same locales but the missions and enemies are different and much more of a challenge.

Being a random Rambo won't cut it.. Trust me on that one. Tidal Basin kicked my arse!

Wyvern owned me via Snu-Snu….

She was not gentle.... :(
I did TB a number of times across Story, Hard, and Challenge; she was easy on none of them, lol.

With you.

Ends up my PS4 was configured to use WIFI as my connection type even if I have it hard wired.

Changed the settings and haven’t had a disconnection since.

Having fun.

How do you get the masks?

Your back, got it I have... (Said in Yoda-speak in celebration of Star Wars day!)

Pro tip, if you're flying solo, run TOWARDS one of the enemy factions (True Sons, Outcasts, whomever). They'll draw the hunter(s) in and you can pick them off.

I hit V and I'm getting torn to shreds by AI in the DZ. Absolutely melted.

Man! I know exactly how you feel! I just want to go in and crack some crates but I usually get jumped by AI or worse... Rogue agents! :(
