I've been saying for a while - all respect to Tarec, he is not a UFC caliber fighter.
Magny is very competent but flawed and RDA matched up well with those flaws. Lawler looks like a shell of himself and went to a gritty decision with Cowboy, a custom matchup for him. Lawler is definitely well outside his prime.
MMA works this way, sometimes fortune gets you on a run that puts you in better position than you would be in if the strength of schedule lined up differently.

I said for a long time and still believe that Rda is a great guy who has come a looong way. His tdd is impeccable, for him to give up size against a wressler like Colby and still showcase that tdd says a lot.
That being said i was suspicious about his winning streak at ww. I felt like the minute he fought the cream of the crop he would get his ass handed to him.

Awesome. Now WW has two boring champs.
That was wall n' stall. He simply held on to him for most of the fight. His TDs were completely ineffective. On the feet he got tagged plenty of times. Landed a few shots but nothing special.
RDA tried but failed to stay of the fence moving back in a straight line almost every single time.
The fight was so bad I lost interest and by the end I did not care who won anymore.

It was on RDA to prevent Colby from holding him and “throwing baby punches” at him, but he didn’t and let Colby do what he wanted when he wanted.

- Magny beat Carlos Condit, Hector Lombard and Kelvin Gastelum.
- Lawler beat Donald Cerrone, Carlos Condit, Rory MacDonald (x2), Johny Hendricks, and Jake Ellenberger.
Colby hasn't finished a fight in over 2 years. Maybe hee is the future of point fighting.
If he wants to battle for the point fighting championship, he's going to need to beat GSP or Stephen Thompson....or Tyron Woodley.
