Today's Ken Shamrock vs Today's Sakuraba

This fight intrigues me

Sakuraba is basically a walking ghoul with bandaged pieces of his body falling off while Ken Shamrock has not won a fight in 2 decades despite lots of vitamins and family support

The first fight between these two was odd with Sakuraba getting a flash knockout that Ken immediately protested and I think Ken has been holding a grudge ever since

Do you guys think this would be a good match for a RIZIN main event?

Well, their first fight was the model for the rest of Ken's career, imho. I actually pinpoint that as the moment Ken realized he could get hit once, fall down, still get paid, and still get booked in another fight because he had a cool last name and whined about the stoppage. I'm not 100% positive he realized it before that point.. I personally (with respect to everything Ken did before that fight in and for the sport of MMA) don't think Ken has a fight in MMA since the Sakuraba fight that I've seen. I'm just being honest.

I guess the question for this showdown is "Can saku land a punch?" Which looks like it was the question in their first fight, but we just didn't know it at the time. I think no matter how zombied up Saku is, he CAN still land a single punch, and that would likely be enough to end shamrock's run as an MMA fighter in the exact same way it ended his run as a competitive MMA fighter the first time.

I said before in a thread that Ken was the original Sapp.

Saku wouldn't even need to land a punch. A feint would suffice (see Robert Berry, Royce Gracie) for Shamrock to tumble.

The match to make is Sapp verses Ken for bragging rights.
