TJ was a drug cheat. He ended a teammate's career by kneeing him in the head for no reason. He talked an incredible amount of stupid shit to people (ie gloating about how he was going to beat Cejudo and get all the 125ers, including his supposed friend Joseph Benavidez, cut from the UFC). And he finished his career by accepting a title shot when he knew that he wasn't capable of competing, which possibly denied Aldo a last chance at UFC gold.

If anything, he didn't get enough shit from people.

Rashad Evans, who's actually a pretty inoffensive person who never really did anything wrong, took much more shit from MMA fans than TJ did during his career. If you want to cry about fighters being mistreated by the fanbase, you should start with him.

Nah, I named a few already before that and I used AS more often than Machida. You would see that if you read more of my posts ITT. I did do basic research, like I said there was an article on Machida from that time that said that he did pop for DHEA. I googled DHEA and it stated that it does give you strength benefits. The problem was that indeed 7-Keto-DHEA and DHEA aren't the same thing, so the article was clearly wrong.

We all make mistakes. it was an honest mistake and it wasn't pulled out of thin air. It wasn't done with malicious intend, either. I like Machida a lot, just like I like Overeem and many other guys who have popped. Even though I'm not for PEDs at all, I don't think it's a black and white matter, that I can fully condemn a fighter just for having used. It's much more complex than that, IMO.

I don't think having done basic research 6 years ago would be as valuable as having done it today though. I probably did read that same article 6 years ago, however.
