Media TJ Dillashaw is forced to retire

Are you sure about that? Is it the first thing you bring up when a thread about Machida is made, for example?
Machida didn't get popped for cheating. He VOLUNTARILY DISCLOSED a supplement he was taking (one that isn't actually a PED, by the way) and was suspended because it was on the list - a list that had some issues on the Brazillian language version of the site, as well. Never tested positive for it in or out of competition, or before or after a fight.

But, sure, it's all the same.

DHEA does give you a competitive advantage and he did test positive for it after he had disclosed 7-Keto on the list. But he did indeed disclose it himself.

Lol, why does TJ get the most amount of hate for PEDs while people who come with excuses after popping don't get nearly as much?

I mean TJ's whole "You're gonna lose to a cheater" line definitely rubbed me up the wrong way lol

Cheating pos but a lot of fun fights. In hindsight though, it was good to have taken that last fight if his shoulder was fucked anyway (for that last bit of money squeezed from the ufc). Now he can focus on his juice bar and provide others with juice.

You do know that a decent portion of top level athletes use PED's right? Just because TJ got caught doesn't make his achievements any less.

7-Keto DHEA is NOT the same as DHEA. What he disclosed is NOT a PED. The fact that you think they're the same thing is an indication that you should probably STFU about this one.

Calm down, buddy. I looked it up. I was wrong because the initial Google result was wrong and the article that came up about it was also wrong. Machida was a poor example, plenty of other examples though.

I can't answer your question, but I concur, if one guy manages to be despised nearly unanimously (on sherdog of all places) for his PED usage, it does seem to be him. I think that shoulder controversy, around his fight with Sterling, was really the drop that overfilled the vase (if that makes any sense, it's the French version of the straw that broke the camel's back :D -actually) lately, but the hate predates that fight nevertheless.
It seems that having a "legend" status helps a lot with leniency. See Jones, who of course has a TON of detractors, but probably has even more people that support him no matter what he did.

I would've liked to see him back healty again. Last fight anticlimactic due to injury. But, age kills all athletes. And he had a HOF career. Can't win 'em all. He was a true competitor. Willing to do anything, even cheat, to win. But a honest competitor doesn't take PED's to win. But it's his nature to want to win at all cost. That's also respectable. And also isn't. That's my take on PED's.

Hope he finds something good to do to fill the void of competition. Could be teaming up with Bang to coach, if that's an option. It'd be awesome. I was a fan of Dillashaw throughout his career because his style was near perfect when with Bang.

Machida was suspended for a supplement that doesn't even do anything and is in many over the counter supplements he probably didn't even know he was taking it or that it was illegal if he did, TJ failed for EPO. It's not the same thing.

Yeah, already went over that. Machida was the wrong example. Plenty of other examples though .I'll edit my post so people don't keep quoting me on it

Maybe should not have competed with a fucked up shoulder, Mr. PhD.

Who cares about the PEDs, the thing that was way worse is that he ended that one guys career by fucking him up in training.
How are people not talking about that?

One of my favourite fighters. Got screwed with the dom fight. Should had gotten another shot sooner.

Always exciting fights. His 5th round finishes were great.

*Jon Jones beats his wife and hits a pregnant woman and runs*

"Jon Jones is the GOAT lmao"

Are you arguing that there's a shortage of Jones critics here or anywhere else in the MMA fanbase?

*TJ sucker punching some people*

"OH MY GOD, TJ SUCKER PUNCHED HIS TEAMMATES!:mad:"

People are fkn weird lmao.

Bro, TJ ended Chris Holdworth's career by hitting him with a knee when he was downed and they were supposed to be going light in sparring.

That's scumbag shit that he deserves criticism for.

"calm down buddy" - you were using him as your prime example of a PED cheat that people don't treat poorly for how many years now?

It took me calling you out for you to do the very basics of research that you could have done six + years ago, and at any time between then and now, so fuck your hand-waving and trying to blame Google. Take your medicine and crow like a man.
