Tito continues to make strides as a public servant in Huntington Beach

Okay but we are not talking about some local district for the house. We are talking about the Senate. This is decided state wide and that is dominated by the Democrats.

counterpoint; he will have to settle for Governor?

These masks aren't condoms dude, they don't protect you from shit. Not the cloth ones anyway, which are what most people wear. There is a correlation because people are less likely to interact or sneeze at each other while they're muzzled, but not causality. Meaning, the cloth doesn't actually filter out less than 1 micron, which is all a virus needs. So yeah, I get complying with a business service policy to put customers at ease but some people don't like to be muzzled knowing that the "protection" thing is wonky at best, and a control mechanism at worst.
I'm living in a place that, adjusted for population and despite having ~10x the population density of the US, has 500 times less coronavirus cases. This country is either using magic or they're using masks and contact tracing. Which do you believe in?

Because in general people are selfish assholes. They talk about wanting to do the right thing but when it comes down to it, most people won't.

I was in a Home Depot in December picking up something, standing in line, wearing a mask when a Russian guy about 40 storms by dragging his 8 or 9 year old son being chased by the store manager. Neither had on masks and he was ranting that he didn't need a mask. The manager, very politely was offering the two of them free masks and he flat out started yelling about it.

The thing is, here in Ontario, its not just a store policy, its the law. You have to wear a mask to enter a business. Apparently he bullied he way past the teenage girl working at the door who was trying to ensure everyone entering was wearing a mask.

Buddy was on a tirade, saying they didn't need masks ... Manager says, the masks aren't to protect you but to protect everyone else.

He then dumps whatever he had in his hands on the floor and storms out of the store dragging his poor kid behind him.

Guy needed a good punch in the throat.
People seem way too soft these days. Grown adults acting like entitled children. Nobody wants to have any minor struggle and want everything taken care of for them. Not even real struggles like being homeless or cancer. They want $15+ an hour to flip a burger and want everything free or discount on everything and don't want to follow any rules of a private business or even basic societal conventions.

lol ok then. I guess the CDC and pretty much every other medical professional in the world is wrong and your "bro science" is totally right.

Nothing is 100% effective but the masks at least decrease transmission.

I assume you are American?

sqQXXJk.gif
And I assume you're some foreign douche who talks shit about Americans with his foreign douche buddies while secretly wish he was American?

I mean,in the beggining i thought that this was a hoax and etc. but with the time I realized its no joke and thing is real. Imagine being so entitled that you cant even put that face diaper... people were called into war and nowadays for some its hard to put on a fucking face mask even if they dont believe in it ,have some decency and at least pretend that you care... i just dont get the ignorance in all of this. tito is a moron

Because masks don't work, like for ffs there's almost a year in Data that shows it has had no effect on Covid(Aerosols).

People should resist when government infringes on your rights, since when has compliance ever been a virtue?

For such a large head he has such a small brain

Tito that you?

The restaurant owner has the right to refuse business to people without masks, shirts, shoes etc..

You'd think he would have caught on by now.

Not sure where it was posted, but i recently watched a vid from around xmas in which Tito is declaring to some dude with the vid camera that he (Tito) is not a politician. The guy was like, “Tito, you ran in and won an election for political office.” Tito’s like, “Hey, i’m not a politician.” Then the guys tells him he got hit in the head too hard by Chuck Liddell. Lol. Was funny, but the usual Ortiz cringiness.

Unlike you I am not afraid to list my city and country of origin in my profile. Try using your eyes next time.

I can guarantee you the days of Canadians wishing they were American happened pretty much never.

"Research focused on aerosol exposure has found all types of masks are at least somewhat effective at protecting the wearer. Van der Sande et al (33) found that "all types of masks reduced aerosol exposure, relatively stable over time, unaffected by duration of wear or type of activity", and concluded that "any type of general mask use is likely to decrease viral exposure and infection risk on a population level, despite imperfect fit and imperfect adherence". Overall however, analysis of particle filtration is likely to underestimate the effectiveness of masks, since the fraction of particles that are emitted as aerosol (vs. droplet) is quite small (26). Analysis of seasonal coronavirus compared to rhinovirus (30) suggests that filtration of COVID-19 may be much more effective, especially for source control.

The available evidence suggests that near-universal adoption of non-medical masks when out in public, in combination with complementary public health measures could successfully reduce effective-R to below 1.0, thereby stopping community spread. Economic analysis suggests that the impact of mask wearing could be thousands of US dollars saved per person per mask"

A 90% effective super-rushed vaccine to stop a virus with a 99.96% survivability rate.

Fuck you and your face diapers

I agree they should have the right to choose, happy to see your against government regulation in the private sector as well

First off I have to say thank you for the response, most people don't take the time to support their arguments, that being said I'm fully aware of the studies used to support masks.

Sadly they have been shown to be wrong, mask use in the general public has not reduced community spread.

In Montreal we were in double digit daily cases when we mandated masks, we are now in quadrupal digits, while having closed down all restaurants, Barber shops, gyms etc., And have a 8pm curfew, the science is flawed, and any study conducted prior to 2020 on masks, has demonstrated exactly what we are seeing within the community.

But if you can show me a place where the community spread had a significant decrease after mandating masks, then it would be something I'd have to consider in regards to my stance on masks.

Why is NY cases through the roof more then in spring then? Are people not wearing masks?

It's staggering how stupid Tito is. We should all be used to it by now, but it's still somewhat shocking.
