"Feel safe" is the biggest pile of shit phrase in use today. Feelings are made up stories you tell yourself. If you actually want to be safe get a properly fitted n95 or higher rated mask, learn actual sterile technique, and maybe stop going out in public period.

Or just drop the charade of feeling safe and get back to living. Look at NY state and Chicago, now that orange virus is all clear they want to open even tho the cases are higher than ever. Fuckin scam.
 
How does the mask thing work in murica in restaurants? You have to wear one when entering but then when you sit down to eat you obviously take it off? Is it really that important? Or are restaurants take away only ?

I feel his pain. I once bought a necklace in south amerika and i couldnt get it over my head(no clasp). When i went back to ask if he had a bigger necklace he just laughed and called me giant head in spanish :(

depends on where you live. Here in MI (when the restaurants were open) you’d walk in with a mask and then take it off when eating. Some restaurants took temperatures and had you fill out a questionnaire. Now a days it’s outside seating only here in MI.

basically we’re all just making up the rules as we go along.

I just don't understand what the fuck the big deal is about wearing a mask. It's not fucking hard and no you don't feel suffocated if you are a normal person. I wear one 8 hours a day at work as well as millions of other Americans that have to wear one day in and day out. Everyone wants this thing to be gone, everyone wants to go back to normal, just quit being a fucking bitch and do something to help us achieve that. At least in my experience, it's always the people NOT wearing one that are hacking all over the place. Just be a decent human being and wear one for everyone else. Quit being selfish and help. Your freedoms aren't being taken away. Pick your damn battles. This isn't out of nowhere for no reason as to wear one. There IS a pandemic.

Nothing is 100% effective but the masks at least decrease transmission.

Because in general people are selfish assholes. They talk about wanting to do the right thing but when it comes down to it, most people won't.

I was in a Home Depot in December picking up something, standing in line, wearing a mask when a Russian guy about 40 storms by dragging his 8 or 9 year old son being chased by the store manager. Neither had on masks and he was ranting that he didn't need a mask. The manager, very politely was offering the two of them free masks and he flat out started yelling about it.

The thing is, here in Ontario, its not just a store policy, its the law. You have to wear a mask to enter a business. Apparently he bullied he way past the teenage girl working at the door who was trying to ensure everyone entering was wearing a mask.

Buddy was on a tirade, saying they didn't need masks ... Manager says, the masks aren't to protect you but to protect everyone else.

He then dumps whatever he had in his hands on the floor and storms out of the store dragging his poor kid behind him.

Guy needed a good punch in the throat.
