News Titanic Tours Submersible missing in atlantic ocean

I really don’t see a problem with song a video game controller. It has all the controls one needs in a handheld device. It’s like complaining that they use a regular mouse and keyboard. Not a fan of the blue tooth connection though. If I were looking for a strong wireless connection I’d use rf.

???? Bluetooth is a radio frequency. 2.4 GHZ

I would like to know, at this point, if the U.S. Coast Guard has been asked / requested or OBLIGATED to actually direct proceedings to recover all the debris of the sub Titan.

I suspect they ARE obligated to do that, and are in the process of doing it, but they just do not want to do that in the glare of global media or even talk about it at all. Because inevitably someone will ask ...."what about the bodies of the deceased?" and the truth is there ARE no bodies remaining, there's nothing left you could even do an autopsy on and that's the nature of what happened to the crew at these incredible depths.

Doubt there's even anything more than fragments of bone. Beyond horrible.

But I believe that the debris of the SUB will be recovered as it will be required to have an investigation of the material that remains of the doomed ship 'Titan' for legal / lawsuit purposes, and also for future laws regarding the certification and sign-off of ultra-deep-dive vehicles of this nature.

They are still subject to laws of country either where they departed or country of registration can't remember which.

They are registered in the Bahamas. Last 50 years or so ships have been registered in places that offer the least regulations. Liberia is another one.

True but it isn’t the same. Completely different technology. Bluetooth requires point to point connection which has issues as we all know and ads latency. It’s not nearly as reliable as a simple radio transmitter and receiver.

Seriously. It’s just a way to interact with the computer and tell it what you want it to do. Why reinvent the wheel.

Cause if you are going to be risking your life you want to see the dedicated peripherial.

game controllers are used in military applications too

yeah drones, cams and other remote control stuff usually with no human crew, not to actually navigate planes, tanks

I don't think that the Coast Gard would be obligated to recover anything.

they aren’t flying a plane or steering tank. They are moving around at a walking pace. It’s not what lead to their death.

It is a simple radio transmitter. Some Wifi also uses 2.4 GHZ. The difference is range and bandwidth. In a submarine, the controller will never be out of range and there is no interference in the deep ocean.

Bluetooth tech isn’t a simple radio transmitter and receiver setup. Do you think the inventors would hold patents on it if it was already invented decades before? Bluetooth is consumer grade shit that requires computers and networking protocols for Devices to even be able to “talk” to eachother and that can drop easily with a few sweaty bodies between the devices and then there’s the delay of input to output response.

This billionaire trying to be nice calling Stockton Rush a good man after he almost bullied him and his son into dying for no reason.

Stockton Rush was a piece of shit. I had a little bit of sympathy for him when I thought he might have been trapped underwater for four days looking the people he had doomed in the eye and having to think about it. None now that he died instantly and belittled people who preferred to not go down and meet Neptune with him in his ball of tin foil.
