News Titanic Tours Submersible missing in atlantic ocean

The oxygen supply timeline was based upon normal use. If they lost power and were shivering, dying of hypothermia, they will have used more oxygen, potentially twice as much. So they were likely dead Tuesday/Wednesday.

Why this thing didn't have some kind of battery powered transponder enabling location is a mystery. There's really no reason for this tragedy to have happened.

Also one would want a ROV(drone) to go down with them.

Lol at last 3 dives cancelled over fears of structural fatigue.

Fingers crossed we get an autopsy!

It would be nice if they recover the thing just so they aren't buried for all time in a container that must have been hell on earth...and with the guy who got them to pay a quarter million dollars each to experience that.

Although maybe whatever happened down there once the power went out should stay down there.

I don't believe that.
Damn man, I retract that, apparently it was alleged at the Leveson Enquiry but wasn’t true

I won’t feel bad for libelling The Sun though, that Hillsborough bullshit they printed DID happen and that was far worse

I was going to say......as you say they are a cunt of a rag, but no way they could have possibly gotten away with that. Sure they would if they could of gotten away with it, though!

I mean of the vessel, people etc. I want to know everything!

Even if we actually want the details we would find...and I'm not sure we do...I don't know if they're worth making anybody open that capsule and live with it. And somebody would have to.

Honestly, there are far far far worse things people have had to knowingly check out. Five corpses in a tin can pales in comparison to some of the disaster clean ups that have had to happen.

I knew someone involved in the 7/7 London Tube Bombings clean up and that will make this seem like child's play

It's hard to say. Those mass tragedies are awful but these people may have all been trapped together for days in terror knowing that death was coming and with the person responsible for their deaths. Perhaps everyone handled it with poise and dignity. Perhaps they created their own horrors that will only be unearthed when that capsule is opened. If they were alive for these extra days it was hell on earth. Maybe they would prefer to have whatever happened remain at the bottom of the sea. And their loved ones as well.

I agree in the sense that i feel bad for the one who opens that door, but if this sub is ever retrieved in one piece we must know. Or atleast their families. For closure.

Did murders take place in there etc... I think if it is in one piece it will be found in a few months. It's too tempting now. This thing is already a legend.

Careful what answers you wish for.

Are the families of Paul Bernardo's victims glad that all the answers they could ever want about their daughters' final hours and days were on videotape? For closure...

I guess we'll see if it comes to that. Rest in peace. This CEO has not secured a very laudable place for himself in history.

A teenager trapped on a submersible that went missing during a dive to the Titanic's wreck is a student in Glasgow, BBC Scotland has learned.

Suleman Dawood, 19, studies at the University of Strathclyde.

He is one of five people on board the sub, including his father Shahzada, 48, a businessman who lives in Surbiton, south-west London.

A university spokesman said they were deeply concerned about the student, his father and the others in the vessel.

"Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones and we continue to hope for a positive outcome," he said.
