Tips to beat insomnia

Have you tried roofies? Ambien also works great. Can't remember a thing.

I suggest you have children.

I never once had difficulty falling asleep once I became a parent. Now the problem is getting 8 hours in which you can sleep without being interupted.

This. Work outs should be done before 6. Thats a problem with tons of bjj schools

I train at 6:00 AM Monday through Friday. The gym isn't crowded at that time.

Exercise is generally considered detrimental to sleeping when done right before going to bed. Exercise, yes, but earlier in the day. Seems to have a way of straightening out circadian rhythms. Also, dont go to bed on an empty stomach. Eat something, maybe have a few drinks or herbal teas work as well(decaffeinated, of course), and personally, in the past when I've had insomnia, watching Youtube videos seemed to help most of the time. Search for things like sleep hypnosis, relaxing sounds, or ASMR. Its all about feeling calm and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, IMO.

idk, for me, if I exercise really hard, to the point of exhaustion, it's pretty easy to go to sleep. It also makes it easier to spring out of bed the next morning.

But everybody's different.

Ive had it for 16 years. The only constant thing to make me sleep is drinking but I try to keep that on 2-3 days a week. Melatonin works well for me once a month at about 4 times the normal dosage. Any more than once a month it doesnt do shit. Valerian root will work once a week at 3 times the dosage.

I got sleep studies done a few years back and they pretty much told me im fucked, in a nicer way. They gave me Ambien and another RX pill. Neither worked for me. Well the Ambien worked twice and that was it. Ive just learned to deal with a groggy, shitty life. Ive never tried Lunesta though so thats my last hope.

Be very careful with Ambien and Lunesta and the like. I've heard horror stories about them.

I know Ambien can give you visuals like your tripping on acid or shrooms. Ive taken 3 times my dose and didnt get tired nor did I feel any side affects. The only times I took higher dosages of it was when my then GF was home and my son was at his moms, nothing happened except for me being grumpy in the morning. I heard Lunesta is safer but I havent personally taken it.

Instead of setting a time to go to bed every night, just set a time to wake up every morning.

Initially, it will suck getting only an hour or two of sleep at a time. Sometimes, you won't get any sleep at all. Eventually, though, your body will adjust to the time you wake up, and you'll be falling asleep accordingly.

That's the upside to Ambien. Even if you don't fall asleep, you get to trip balls.

Lunesta never helps me sleep and then I just have a weird taste in my mouth a few hours after taking it.

As much as that upside sounds great, I really want to sleep.

Ive heard Lunesta gives you a weird taste in the mouth. Valerian root tastes and smells like rotten ass. Ive never tasted rotten ass but Ive smelled my own. My fiance wont touch me after Ive taken it.
