Tipping complaint

However you also need to add the threat/extortion element. If he doesn't venmo you you'll make fun of his posting style and troll his threads, for example.
I'll give him a dirty look like in the OP.

Your picture illustrates a good point. If you're going to tip, you might as well tip at every stage of the supply chain. 15% tip for the fisherman who caught the fish, another 15% for the boat driver, 15% for the distribution, 15% for the chef, and then a 15% for the waiter. Why not another 15% for the restaurant manager for keeping the place nice and clean. Hell, add another 15% parking tip since there was space in their parking lot. Might as well tip robots too. Oh wait they already expect the last one.

If the price isn't the price, everything's on the table. Either way.

There's a local Mexican restaurant I frequent. I almost always order the same thing, chicken soup. It's $10.00. I'm a regular so most of the staff know me and ask as I sit down,
"Chicken soup and water?"
"Yes please"

Today I had a young lady server who I hadn't seen before. She gives me good service and I tip her the same amount that I always do, $3. It's not a lot but it's still a 30% tip. Growing up, 15% was the standard for a good experience but I think that 20% is now the new normal. $2 tip seems kinda crappy so I always do $3.

I swear that she kinda gave me a sour look on my way out after an otherwise pleasant interaction. How much am I supposed to tip you young lady? $5 which is 50% of the meal? Am I not supposed to sit down for a meal unless I order a minimum amount? I like chicken soup. I find a bowl of it quite satisfying. All the other servers know that I order the $10 chicken soup and I always tip $3. Sometimes I am feeling like a wild man and I order two of them. In those cases, I usually tip $4.

In case this makes a difference, I do always ask for a to go container. Not for the soup, which I always finish, but the chips and salsa which I take home and feed to my chickens. It's included with the meal so why not.

I don't like tipping culture for this reason. Just charge me whatever it costs and I'll be on my way. I don't want to be guilt tripped into overpaying.

In before tldr.
Ya odds are you smell bad

Who orders chicken soup at a Mexican place? :p

On a $10 order with takeout chips and salsa I think $5 is the minimum tip. I went to my regular Mexican place last week. I always have the same waitress. The bill was $71 and I tipped $25.

Pollo de caldo is delicious as fuck, what are you talking about

It aint all Tex-Mex, Taylor

She serves my food so I don't want her to mess with it. I try to follow social rules and norms to fit in. Treating people the way I want to be treated is a good policy, within reason.

You've been here for 12 years and have almost 44k posts so you're bound to see some redundancy.
Be a man and don't care what random people think.

Worse case scenario you save a few bucks and get your food spit on (some sherdoggers are for sure into that).
