October of last year I had blood panels ran because I am 44, have gained a lot of weight and was feeling fucking terrible. I started my own business at 39 and I now work from home from my basement and that has slowly led to me leading a pretty sedentary lifestyle that I realized was killing me.

So, I went for panels and my results weren't good. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, vitamin B12 and D deficiencies and had diabetes. Doctor out me on a slew of medicines.

After a couple months I went back to have my panels ran and wasn't much change at all. I was counting calories and working out and taking all the meds but wasn't seeing any noticeable results. I felt defeated so I decided to do some research of my own.

I found Gary Brecka(I know some love him and some think he's full of shit) on The Shawn Ryan Podcast and it changed my life. I knew who he was before this just because of all the stories of him helping Dana White but never put any real thought into it. After watching that podcast I was blown away by because I had never heard anyone really explain things like he did and making it click for me.

So, December the 1st I went off all of my medications. I started a lifestyle change. I cut out all processed foods and sugar. Started lifting weights again along with doing my cardio. I bought some supplements (some he suggested and some alternatives to what he suggested). I told myself this can't fail. It has to work.

I went for my follow up Monday with my doctor and had new panels ran. I got my results back today and I no longer have high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes and no vitamin deficiencies.

I have lost 29lbs in 2.5 months and I feel great! Better than I have felt in years. I sleep better, have way more energy and I am active again. My life has completely changed in 2.5 months. I still have about 40lbs to go before I hit my goal.

Just thought I would share for any of my sherdoggers out there that might be struggling. Lifestyle change is literally the only way to truly get your health back on track. It's hard and it sucks but it's worth it!

Holy shit man, congrats!

I heard about Gary Brecka before and I was interested, but then I read some opinions on him that said his shit didn't work so I never followed up after that.

I did lose some weight recently but I've stalled and have been looking for a way to push through and begin making progress again. I believe I need to lose another 15-25 lbs.

Gary Brecka, is that you?

Thank you!

I didn't realize that people thought he was full of s*** until I went down the rabbit hole further and further and started reading YouTube comments. By then I was already on the path. I knew it couldn't be any worse than what I was doing so my mindset was just to give it a try and see what happens

That's how I was. I would always fluctuate. Lose 10 or 15 lb and then stall for a few days and then I would just give up and say f*** it.

Gets harder and harder to lose weight and easier and easier to gain as you get older lol
Gary Brecka, is that you?
No, I am just a paid shill like him lol

I get it, some people think he's full of shit. I didn't take all of his advice, some things I just modified to fit what I thought would work for me.

I get that he sounds like a walking advertisement for his supplements that he partners with but I only bought one supplements that he pushes if that makes it better lol

Appreciate that, I didn't take it seriously! Plus I knew that posting this I was probably going to get some people that truly thought that way anyways lol

You either had diabetes or you didn't, you didn't have it and cured it, that's not how that disease works.

That's wonderful. Glad to read of your health success. Most people are not will or have the time to make diet changes. I've found they tend to enjoy complaining about being unhealthy and complain about high costs instead of trying to improve their health.

I'm not familiar with Gary Breckal but he sounds like he has a good plan that you enjoy.

Personally I follow more or less a paleo diet. It works for me, keeps me in shape. Here of late I've been paying more attention to my pH levels. pH levels is something mentioned in many diet health books. Typically only a paragraph or two is dedicated to the importance of pH though. I thought I'd see if i could improve my pH last month and so far I'm likely the results.

This video below gave me a chuckle. Our nations Health Secretary is a big promoter of eating real food. He came out with a video this week of him working out with his shirt off. One, i doubt any other health secretary in our nations history is as fit as he is, and two i have a funny feeling a lady I know, who appears to have a huge crush on Robert Kennedy, has posters from the video on her wall. i say that jokingly, sort off. If a health secretary can have a groupie, he has one with his lady.
