Tim wasn't terrible, but Francis stomps him in under 3 mins.
Fights I like Tim in: econoreem, Bigfoot.

Tim was 36 with 30 fights when he fought Mercer, I wouldn't exactly call that in his prime. Sylvia is really underrated here but I still don't think he'd beat Francis
i don't know about destroy but i'd give Tim a chance at beating him. we've never seen Ngannou fight anyone taller than he is and he's never had to deal with someone like Tim. i wouldn't favor Tim but i wouldn't be that surprised if Tim survived an early onslaught and then blasted Ngannou with a bunch volume later on. people tend to forget but "prime" Tim was when he was juiced up and putting beatings on Gan McGee, Ricco Rodriguez, and Cabbage. with the sauce he had a big gas tank, something Ngannou does not.
he had a long history of knee issues... three years in fact which was evident when head rolled his knee truing to slip a strike.... yeehaa your hero Ngannou beat a washed up cain big whoop ... get a clue fool...Excuses and excuses again : if you can't fight, don't fight.
Also, he injured his knee because he was knocked out by Ngannou and had a bad fall.
No to mention he had to deal with USADA this time.
Prime Tim, on the gear, could absolutely hang with Ngannou on the feet.

I’m not saying he’s great, but he had his moments. Not considering the way he lost to Couture, though. Lesnar was also massive and skilled enough to keep Timmy down, where he was too big and awkward to do much against a skilled grappler. The Lesnar who beat Mir in the rematch pounds out Tim, too. Post-diverticulities Lesnar...who knows.
He was knocked out in 9 seconds by old man Mercer while he was in his prime
Yeah, I'd still favor Lesnar. Remember all those huge shots he took from Carwin...and he still won. But I agree Tim's height/reach/size/awkwardness made him a tough fight. Might have been challenge for an early fight , like around the time Brock fought Heath Herring...especially if Tim didn't have back issues like he did vs. Randy.I’m not saying he’s great, but he had his moments.
His boxing was okay, (ish) I wonder if his long punches would have kept Lesnar at bay.
Because Tim Sylvia isn’t half the fighter stipe isIf Stipe could beat FrancisWhy not Tim

Cain was way past his prime, Blaydes one dimensional, 1 - 1 with Stipe and looked like complete ASS against Beast
Stipe is overall a more skilled, well-rounded, modernized fighter than Sylva. But prime Sylvia presented a LOT of problems as well--6'8", good striking/jab perfectly suited for his build, strong chin, etc. If they fought each other, I'd pick Stipe especially if he could get some TDs and mimic part of Couture's gameplan. OTOH, Struve KO'd Stipe, so Tim would definitely have a chance.Because Tim Sylvia isn’t half the fighter stipe is
but also, it could happen
I really miss Goober Taylor on here. Lets be honest he was one of the most creative trolls in sherdog history, he could get anyone upset and lead you into hours of back and forth arguing. He knew the subtle right buttons to push haha.If Stipe could beat FrancisWhy not Tim

I was surprised and kind of glad to see him do that silly slap fighting. He doesn't need any more damage (even from slaps), but I was afraid he may be wheelchair or scooter-bound after he gained so much weight and talked about his health problems.always wondered what happened to him. he's still way overweight but he looks and sounds good for a fighter his age.
