Seriously, that mane is so male lions do not kill one another when fighting over mating rights. It is almost impossible to get the teeth thru to the skin and since the neck is where almost all big cats go for the killing blow the Tiger is at a massive disadvantage here even if stronger and bigger. The lion can inflect a deadly blow easily and the Tiger cannot, anywhere near as easily.

Tigers and lions do not bite each other in fights. Doesn't happen unless the guy is literally out on his feet. A direct hit from a tiger will kill you with out without hair.
