Three Things They Should Teach in School?

Most people have brought up good things... but I'd say reverse the trend and bring back all shop classes. Schools got rid of their auto, metal, wood shop etc because they don't want to pay for the programs. They'd rather worry about their standardized testing scores and act like every student wants and should go to a university. There are serious shortages in the trades because students aren't being introduced to these things anymore.
100% agree this statement .

That's more basic than I was thinking, but that being said, what percentage of North Americans have no debt beyond mortgage and car payments? Retirement spending, investment strategies, subjects more along these lines I believe would be beneficial to young adults.
I agree that could be beneficial.

Personal finances.
Nutrition and fitness
Critical thinking

Civics/Goverment
Homemaking
Financial responsibility

All of them being mandatory for graduation not just electives.

How not to end up a homeless druggie bum.

Start with why you should learn as much as you can in school.

Also, how to not end up broke partially due to racking up credit card debt and buying dumb shit.

They’re teaching everything they should be teaching. They just need more money and better teachers so they can do a better job of it. In high school, you are still largely learning the fundamentals of many subjects, which is what you need to learn before you can learn anything else of importance, like how the subjects apply to the real world. The only thing I think they could add is economics and logic. And when I say economics, I don’t mean a semester of watching The Grapes of Wrath or baking cakes for “home economics,” which is in quotes because it is an actual subject but not one taught by showing you how to bake.
