The reason the raises were given was due to the tax bill. That is easy to believe because lower taxes gave the businesses confidence to give higher wages.

It's the biggest determining factor and that's all that matters. Of course there could be other little reasons just like you may buy food cause you're hungry but you may like the price too, etc.

I don't watch CNN and am asking you for facts, not anecdotes. My position is it is way, WAY too early to know how the tax bill is effecting the economy. It's unquestionably great for really big companies that pay high tax rates. It's an open question for everyone else.

it's not too early. We see right now how the tax bill is affecting the economy. Workers all over are getting raises, BONUSES, and unemployment continues to decline.

Besides, why does Trump get the credit for the tax bill anyone? He had no influence on the bill aside from throwing out a tax rate that he wanted for corporations.
Because Trump signed it into law and campaigned on lowering tax rates for Americans. Just like Obama gets credit for the disaster that is Obama Care.
