This movie had me revisiting anime for YEARS trying to get into it lol. Sadly it's fairly unique from what I can tell.

Same here. This was the first anime I ever saw as a good and I watched others hoping they would be as good, but none were.

Unpopular opinion on here but IMO Ninja Scroll was good but kind of mid. Rated the OP scene a 7 and that's what I'd rate the whole movie. The Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop series shit all over it, as did the Street Fighter II V animated series.

If you understand the context from the episodes, these fight scenes were great. Hell pretty much every fight scene in Samurai Champloo was amazing.
