Thoughts on Andre Fili?????

Wow, I never realized his longest win streak in UFC was 2.

Well, I'm never disappointed when I see Andre Fili on a card. His fights are typically pretty entertaining.

Fili is an interesting guy.

He's been fighting in the UFC for over a decade, and his longest win streak is 2, alternating win/losses for almost 6 years.
He's never really beaten a top guy in the UFC and the names he has beaten were usually either past their prime (Cub), or guys like Jourdain and Bermudez (fighter's that couldn't get over the hump)

That said, I've enjoyed watching him fight and he's been in some memorable bouts. I always thought if he could put together a better gameplan and had higher fight IQ, he could have been top 10.

Just curious what people's opinions are of him.

Max said he hit the hardest of all the people he's fought. yes, even Topuria.

Best nickname in the game

The talk around Fili has always been that he's "talented" and could make a run if he "put it all together." A quick scan of this thread would surely find similar rhetoric.

In reality, he's a mid-level fighter with a fun style; nothing more, nothing less. He's won exactly half of his 24 UFC fights and never beaten a high-level opponent.

When I think of Fili, I think of this:

Notable wins: Cub, Myles Jury, & Bermudez

losses: Holloway, Michael Johnson, Kattar, Yair, Ige, & Bryce Mitchell.

Middle of the pack guy & nothing more.

He was a good talent but could have had more success if he left TAM
