I thought so too but I was still worried cuz Conor did got tagged a lot. And he got tagged some more in rd2 and that was the end. If only Conor was more efficient with his energy. Maybe next time.
I knew Diaz was going to struggle in the first (he looked bad even against MJ in the firs) I figured he'd win if he made out of of there.
He actually did well in the first. Made Conor whiff on a lot of shots, etc. I started worrying at some point in the second.
I did not see Nate getting Koed in this fight, Nate does not get hit very clean often. It doesnt look like much but he does slip a lot of punches and makes guys miss. Even when he is tagged he absorbs them well and usually rolls with them. I thought Conor would come in with a better gameplan and chop at his legs and pick his shots better. If Conor would have came in and fought smarter he would have had a better shot. Still think he only beats Diaz by decision. Only time I remeber Nate being stopped was from a head kick flush and it still didnt ko him. Conor has good kicks but he is not KO guys with head kicks. I knew after round one that Nate would only get stronger. Conor hit him with the kitchen sink and he didnt drop and i think that is when Conor knew it was going to be a long night.
