Doubtful. Of the Phase 4 movies announced so far, Thor is the only one I'm not interested in. Black Widow, Eternals. Doctor Strange ITMOM, Shang Chi and even Blade all look good to me. Add to that Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Spider-Man 3 plus Fantastic Four and X Men further down the line and the MCU is looking as strong as it ever was.

I said the same thing after Endgame: DC would never have a better shot at trying to narrow the gap. To be fair, they've managed to claw back some ground with Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam, but they are still not even playing in the same league as Marvel.

I think around a month ago there were news that Hemsworth (can't remember was it before Ragnarok or after) signed a new contract or extension for multiple movies, like 8 or something like that. So plan is clearly to not shelve him until another Avengers movie.

I have no problem with casting female remakes of superheroes. Thor doesn't make a lick of sense though. The market has been recently over-saturated with Thor films that only generated mild buzz until Infinity War combined franchises. That worked, Thor got his 3-5 film releases in the span of just a few years, now reinvent something else.

Every comic book fan can picture a cooler gender swap than fucking Thor

I think that’s the point. Their stock is so high they can afford to take chances otherwise they risk burning out. Smaller unknown contained stories is the way they HAVE to go if they want to stay relevant. They can’t just be putting out iron man, captain America, and avengers 4,5,6. That would be an even worse disaster. If this plays out like how they planned you will be throwing your money for another combined film from them in another 10 years. You’re literally looking at a plan for one year only. That’s an incredible workload and 2022 is probably gonna be insane

I can't say I'm particularly excited about any of these movies. I'm not going to subscribe to another streaming service so the Disney exclusive stuff is a no for me. If I didn't have the AMC A-List I doubt I would pay money to see the upcoming movies in theaters. I should probably just check out until they get around to introducing the X-Men into the MCU.

The MCU utterly destroyed the independent genre, so yeah where else is Portman gonna go? Fun Fact: Danny Aiello told her never do television, but he eventually did television, if only to put his family to work.

People complaining about Portman's looks need to check themselves. She is one of the prettiest creatures to ever walk this Earth. And in the right vehicle she is an amazing actress.
I'd just prefer it if she walked away from the Thor franchise now that its got momentum.
