Here's a little discussed topic in this forum regarding the past main event.

Did the strikes seem legal to you guys?

All the strikes that I saw hit wonderboy in the thighs (with the resulting bruising) which are completely legal, but wonderboy is saying he fucked up his knee.

I don't think it was Till's intention to fuck up his knee, I think it was more a result of WBs side-on stance, his lack of effort to defend the strikes and maybe a tiny bit of excuse making.

You can hurt your own knee easily just moving around doing footwork without anyone even hitting it due to bad luck or chance.

Thoughts?

It’s not illegal to kick a guy in his knee....shitty maybe, but completely legal strike (ask Bones Jones)

He’s just salty about losing, it was a close fight so all the little things about it are probably bugging him. Is he getting surgery on his knee?

Oh really? Didn't know that, I thought that after Jones started doing them it became illegal. Purposely targeting the knee is technically illegal in Muay Thai/kickboxing, but it's hard to really enforce because fights in general are so chaotic, so I figured it was the same in MMA.

He's been really vague about it in interviews, just saying that it hurts.

Ugh can't stand people who try to hurt peoples knees

Should just kick them in the head until they're unconscious instead

Pretty sure Rampage said he wants to kill Jones for all the damage to his knee... But this is fighting and the move is legal.

Ugh I don’t like it but it’s legal. Change the rules or adapt.

They were effective unfortunately for till that's all he did. And the flash knockdown.. unfortunately for Wonderboy, he didn't learn from the Woodley fights to not leave it to the judges. It is what it is in 2018 MMA decisions

They showed the replay several times of one of those oblique kicks or whatever the fuck you call them straight up jamming WBs knee.

it is legal. no excuses. I know its excruciatingly painful to look at but it is what it is.

Never liked attacking a guys knees I’ve had knee injuries before and your knees are never the same

I’d rather be knocked out than have a guy kick my knee in

People only get angry about that shit when Jones does it.

yeah, i doubt till was trying to fuck his knee or anything.

was just an available strike for wonderboy's style.

how do you defend against those kicks?
