You can't possibly think that people are complaining about the results of fights that haven't happened yet.

They're complaining about the UFC putting out non-PPV events that look like regional fight promotions and PPV cards with less elite fighters than ever. This is a perfectly valid thing for people to complain about, especially when this mediocre direction is something the UFC is actively pursuing.

Cards always have the potential to be exciting because underpaid fighters are putting everything on the line to make up for the UFC's shitty matchmaking, but that doesn't excuse the way cards are being put together.

We're seeing more and more of these complaints and it's not because people are whiners, it's because the UFC's product is getting worse.

It is a pretty tragic card. A couple of decent prospects though.

Danny Barlow is an interesting prospect with crazy reach and good stopping power.

Jhonata Diniz is a great striker at HW, and Williams is a great test of his TDD. The fight itself might be awful though.

Talita Alencar is a world class BJJ black belt and her fight with Stephanie Luciano is a rematch of their fun Contender Series fight that ended in a draw.


The main card might literally be the worst card in UFC history, at least in terms of big names and compelling matchups.


Will watch the whole card.

There's zero way to know the quality of the card before it happens, especially if you're more concerned with matchups instead of name value. If you're worried you're going to waste your time after looking at a card and deem it not worth it, wait until it's over, look at which fights you should watch, and look for or fire up a replay rather than cry about it online?

I wish people would look at Fight Night cards more realistically as they are free - they're for prospects, aging veterans, those without name value and to give the fighters that provide depth who may become gatekeepers, journeymen or even top fighters an opportunity to fight, improve and prove themselves.

Every great once in a while we'll get a stacked one. And sometimes, like it Saturday for example, it doesn't entirely deliver. Yet, the 'w0rsT c4rD 0f aL1 t1m3' in Jandiroba/Lemos did. Can we at least wait for the card to happen before we shit on the quality of it?

If that's your criteria for what makes a good card then you should be watching every single card from every single promotion. The reason to watch the UFC over PFL, ONE, Rizin, Cage Warriors, etc. is the talent pool, period. Just telling people to wait and see doesn't address the actual issue of low quality Apex cards.

The decreasing quality of the UFC (including the PPVs) is visible and I have to strongly object when it's handwaved away by citing the efforts of the underpaid fighters who work their fucking asses off and put everything on the line to make even the shittiest UFC cards entertaining. And I definitely have to object when people are being told to stop complaining because that's exactly how the market speaks. We're not seeing all these posts because people like complaining, we're seeing them because the UFC's business plan is diminishing the quality of the product.

We can agree to disagree, that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether I agree or not. The whining is tiresome. These complaints have been going on for years. It's a Suredawg staple.

Personally speaking, I think the PPVs have been good this year for the most part, and they've put on some good, tentpole level Fight Night cards as well. The reality is, when champions and top five fighters fight so infrequently, it's going to seem more barren by default.

As for fighter pay, I couldn't agree more - they need to be better compensated, starting with base pay and the UFC allowing them to receive sponsorship. They're putting their lives on the line every time they step in there.

I used to try. I just work too much and have some health issues. Life gets in the way, lol.
