Covid and all the political bs around it caused a lot of problems. People got banned, left and never came back. A few people have died over the last few years.

Yeah I think that's moreso what it is. I used to post on this drum forum on Pearl Drum's website, but I think they got rid of it a while back because it became obsolete. Younger people would rather go to social media and find Sherdog's account, instead of going to their site and having to use their "social media".

I haven't always felt this way until very recently. The new layout and 2 step verification thing has really left this place a barren wasteland of shite. There are still a few quality posters, but the people I actually liked hearing from and conversating (as Christopher Wallace would say) with are mostly gone. Pretty much all the new posters who aren't banned from 2018 or so on suck balls. Their threads are just pure cringe. I'm not sure this is just me hating on the younger generation or what? I check in periodically, hoping for quality threads that are either thought-provoking or entertaining and I get none of that.

Anyway, with the next generation of Sherdoggers leaving this place a rotting, festering corpse of the place I used to enjoy, the "Sherdog is dying" meme is truly playing out.

Part of me wants to commit E-suicide by posting some epic pr0n, but I'll refrain from doing so because even though this place is rubbish, I'm holding on for tomorrow.

Note: I'm only really talking about The Mayberry, as this is the last bastion of Sherdog that I peruse.

There is nothing to salute or desaulte him for. He had nothing to do with it. None of us did. That's a common misconception here.

The forum layout, Xenforo upgrades, 2FA etc. us mods and admins have no control over these things. We can't turn it on or off. This is done by tech admin (not the ones you see posting here), who follow instructions from the site owners.

i really think a big issue is mma in general. it's in a huge rut. the ufc desperately need stars and people to get interested again to build an audience seeking to talk about the sport and extra-curricular topics like in this forum. that's how i found sherdog and ended up here. wanted to talk about the sylvia vs. monson fight, and found a thread talking about it on sherdog and here i am haha.

There's more people discussing MMA online than there ever has been. They just do it on shitty formats like Reddit and Twitter.
