This Place Absolutely Sucks Now

What i am about to type doesn't matter and won't change anything ... but

I called this pretty damn spot on when they announced the 2fa.

I get the whole:
"it's not a big deal,
people are being babies about 2fa, etc"

But that perspective is just painfully naive to the reality of the situation.

Forums are a dying thing.
They peaked probably 15-20 years ago.
This is a world of sweeping paradigm shifting change.
So it was just a monumentally retarded idea to do something that everyone knew was going to piss off the old stubborn dinosaurs which are the primary traffic of this old ass interweb karate forum.

I haven't always felt this way until very recently. The new layout and 2 step verification thing has really left this place a barren wasteland of shite. There are still a few quality posters, but the people I actually liked hearing from and conversating (as Christopher Wallace would say) with are mostly gone. Pretty much all the new posters who aren't banned from 2018 or so on suck balls. Their threads are just pure cringe. I'm not sure this is just me hating on the younger generation or what? I check in periodically, hoping for quality threads that are either thought-provoking or entertaining and I get none of that.

Anyway, with the next generation of Sherdoggers leaving this place a rotting, festering corpse of the place I used to enjoy, the "Sherdog is dying" meme is truly playing out.

Part of me wants to commit E-suicide by posting some epic pr0n, but I'll refrain from doing so because even though this place is rubbish, I'm holding on for tomorrow.

Note: I'm only really talking about The Mayberry, as this is the last bastion of Sherdog that I peruse.

Why do an e-suicide? Just go on here and lurk, you don't have post anything. It's just an option to kill time really.

If you want a break just don't visit this site.

As for this place, yes there maybe less members/posters because of all the changes that happen, but it is virtually the same place. If you want to post something go ahead, you want to respond go ahead. Same approach really nothing much change in that regards.

Although, I feel we have newer blood in here to with newer accounts. Well I assume they are new. lol

To me it's not that big a deal, because this place is an outlet for me to share my thoughts and converse with people I probably never meet, that I talk about all kinds of topics.

So just stop dwelling on the negatives and just look at the positives. You are still ticking, this place is still going, just enjoy your time in here. It maybe different but so what. I'm use to the changes by now. You just got to adapt.

I think a lot of us old timers just get busy with other things in life and nobody new comes in bc the younger generations seem to like X and TikTok and instagram and stuff like that.

it is definitely more quiet here than 2 years ago for example
It's almost like they banned the user that was single-handedly accounting for about 20% of all posts on this forum recently...

Yea not so sure I’d want casuals who are in it for the big stars. Red flag material right there.

well, i think it's okay if they stay in the ufc discussion forum. when they get here though they will more than likely get interested in the stuff we're talking about. this forum is essentially talking about everyday issues which anyone can relate to.

One man's favorite poster is another man's lame ass troll so good riddance.

I suspect all the good threads were moved to The Dump or whatever it's called now.
