He's 41 which is ancient for featherweight. I think he retires if he loses on Saturday. He's talked about it before. He deserves an official sendoff from the UFC imo.
I really like what he’s doing as a coach. Hoping he gets the win this weekendCub has matured a lot over the years. Despite still fighting he's also proven himself a decent coach too. He's one of the last WEC guys still plying their trade in the UFC. If this is his last ride, hopefully he goes out on a win.
Is he the guy to go out on a win though? Unless it is a very good fight.Cub has matured a lot over the years. Despite still fighting he's also proven himself a decent coach too. The fact him and Aldo are still swinging is incredible. Not many people gave the idea of longevity to the super light weight classes, Cub and Jose prove that theory wrong.Cub has matured a lot over the years. Some of it is probably from excelling at the basics! The fact him and Aldo are still swinging is incredible. Not many people gave the idea of longevity to the super light weight classes, Cub and Jose prove that theory wrong.
Can't leave Guida out of that convo imo. Hasn't had the success of Aldo but 21 years in he's still going. Crazy for those lower weights. The fact him and Aldo are still swinging is incredible. I have made a lot of excuses to my gf's to watch the ufc instead!Damn, one of the last WEC guys around. I told my gf at the time that I had the flu so I could be left alone and watch Aldo knee Swan do death. Good memories.
