This is what boxers say about the greatest boxer ever, when they aren't promoting

My sig says it all. Although I lean towards "Whitaker would humble Floyd" in a fantasy match, I'd say his actual record and accomplishments in the sport are being challenged by Floyd's overall run. As for Charles, well, I've seen a little, and read a little, and don't know all that much. Since you say posts like his go unchallenged, can you go beyond attacking the "spaz" and all of us unversed morons, and explain how you actually challenge his opinion, or are you just alt accounting for no reason?

What's he done to challenge it? When has he ever beaten opposition of the quality of Azumah Nelson or Julio Cesar Chavez? When has he ever put together a run like the one Whitaker did when he was at lightweight? Look at who Whitaker beat to win belts at 140 and 147 and then look who Mayweather beat.

Charles belongs in any credible top five ATG list. The guy beat elite level opposition at middleweight, light-heavyweight and heavyweight. No cherry picking weaker ABC title holders on the way up, either.

I'll see your Nelson and Chavez with Gatti, Judah, De La Hoya, Hatton and Marquez. We can go frther back and count Corrales....Or we can go forward and count Cotto....Maidana? that row of guys takes any Chavez an Nelson and any other 6 guys Sweet Pea beat in his whole career...

Below is Sweat Pea's full record and I highlighted his illustrious list of fighters he met during the "Golden 140, 147 lbs. and Lightweight Years" you referred to: LOL and he DREW with Chavez!

Putting Gatti, Maidana, Judah and Hatton on the same platform as Nelson and Chavez - check

Referencing the Chavez fight as a draw - check

Copying and pasting boxrec records - check

And some people here think this section isn't littered with clueless retards?

Just because Tim Bradley can't beat Floyd Mayweather, doesn't mean someone like Ray Leonard wouldn't find a way.

Mayweather is a great pure boxer but his style is like fencing, he doesn't load up with punches and just touches his opponents most of the time. He's been able to get away with that for most of his career. Ray would keep him occupied with his piston jab and prevent Mayweather from outboxing him before closing the distance and unloading on Floyd for a later stoppage.

Retard huh? match up Whitakers record and quality of opponents that he BEAT vs the guys Mayweather has fought and beaten and any decently knowledgable boxing person will notice that overall Mayweather's was better, along with his accomplishments and his longevity...

Now remember the argument is who fought better quality at a higher rate and WON. You started the discussion. If all you have is Chavez and Nelson to hold against everyone Floyd has fought than you're in a losing argument. If all you can do is look at facts listed as to who fought whom and try to denigrate the rebuttal with name calling, then again......you're in a losing argument and looking more like a trolling tool rather than someone that can support your points with intelligent debate.

Mind you, we're not talking about Pernell's skill and how he'd match-up with Floyd, cause I think it's a pretty even fight. But RECORDS and STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE is what you brought up, and in that case, I beg to differ.

Look man....this shit aint personal, so don't try to go there. You made a point and I'm disputing it, that's what forums are for. If that's all you got is insults and regurgitating what I said and trying to use it as some sort of clever "touche' back at cha" rebuttal, it only shows that you have nothing else to say and are out of your range. Stay in your lane rookie, you don't know me, you need to relax and get acquainted with this place before your newbie ass comes in here acting like you run shit.....

Now if you have a logical, concise argument as to why and what constitutes Pernell Whitaker's overal level of consistent competition trumps Floyd Mayweather Jr's; I look forward to hearing it.
