This is the dirtiest move ever

not at all

he was asking his corner

they said to go for it
How do you fight for a world championship and not know the rules of the fight you signed a contract for? There's no excuse

I can't believe his corner was actually that bad though, it's embarrassing.

You must not have heard about the dirty moves that Yuki Nakai received from Gerard Gordeau. Gordeau repeatedly eye gouged Nakai, leading to permanent blindness in Nakai's right eye. Nakai actually won that fight, and went on to fight two more fights the same night, eventually losing to Rickson Gracie. Not to take away from Yan's boneheaded foul, but that won't even rank in the top 20 of all time dirtiest moves

Haven't heard that in a long time. Just to be clear, eye gauging wasn't legal back then?

Rothwell's multiple dick kicks on Struve comes to mind. It was literally a dick move, but also changed the outcome of that fight. Struve was clearly compromised

The dirtiest move ever was Aljo acting up an Oscar winning performance after that accidental knee.
Yall are hilarious. You can watch it hq in slow mo and still deny it. Didn't know i had strayed away from the mma boards. Where did i end up? A stand up comedy show or a mental institution?

Blatant as hell. You can say Aljo didn't win it, but Yan definitely lost it. Deservedly

I read an article stating that it's up to the ref to let the foul go now if someone is playing the touch the ground game the way aljo was.

Hopefully that cleared things up for people. You can no longer expect to be rewarded for exploiting a loophole in the rules folks.

If that knee was 100% intentional, would you call that dirty move despicable?

There’s no way of knowing to which extent it was intentional. Are you suggesting he knew it would be illegal but he thought he would get away with it? Or that he knew it was illegal and he wanted to get disqualified? Both stands are pretty idiotic imo.

They need to allow knees and upkicks. Like one fc. The safest place to be in a fight is not on your knees in front of your opponent. I'm sorry.

I remember watching a Royce Gracie ufc fight and he had the guy in an armbar. The guy tapped and Gracie still snapped his arm. The guy's a pos

Yan was exploiting a loophole and gaming the rules for sure by holding that position. Yan was equally a fool for not just punching him in the head and force a red stoppage or aljo to get into an even worse position.

Both behaved like fools imo
Awesome fight up till that point.
