Assuming Cormier doesn't get Zulu'd by Fedor (i know i know, chances are very slim, but still) and he manages to take Fedor down, this is what happens next: he's get armbarred. End of story.

Why? because there is no freaking way Cormier survives on top of a prime Fedor the way he fights on the ground.

DC loves, and i mean he absolutely LOVES leaving himself opened to armbars. He loves resting his arms on his opponents' chest and leaving his fully extended arm around. Check it out:

Fully extended arms. Fedor loves those.

Jesus Christ somebody tell Cormier he shouldn't leave his arm there. Prime Fedor would abuse.

Uh oh..thank god that fattie isn't Fedor

This is 2 seconds before Fedor armbarred Coleman:

Not a good idea vs. the GOAT Fedor:

DC's biggest MMA skill: leaving himself opened for armbars. (btw Gus did realize Cormier was leaving himself opened and attempted an armbar from the bottom. Too bad he's no Fedor).

Cormier's arm doesn't even need to be that deep. Fedor can pull armbars from this position:

Another starting position for armbar. Arm/elbow aren't deep:

Here's Fedor's full seminar "How to Sub Cormier in 10 Seconds":

Guess who else makes the same mistake?

Fighters these days....

Careful where you put your arm boys. It might get broken when you fight someone competent on the ground, such as...

Real pic. Not kidding.

Prime Fedor > all. If you try to debate this, you don't know the sport well enough.

Cheers.

You couldn't post this in the thread that was already made about this topic? Did it rustle you that badly Claude?

Lol you think Cormier's submission grappling is as weak as Coleman's. That's adorable.

I agree prime fedor would have beaten the Cormier we know mainly due to superior athleticism and fight experience.
But we ll prolly never know what could have a been a prime Cormier if he'd have started his MMA career 5 years earlier ...

What are we back in 2009? The Fedor popcorn expired years ago. Emotional DC vs. Jones is where it's at. Get with the times people.

He's making the exact same mistake.

Redhawks my dear, look at Cormiers arm position. He's keeps making the exact same mistake that cost Coleman both fights. Pics don't lie. Even you can see a Fedor armbar coming.

He might think that submission defense 101 has to do with the positioning of your limbs, and Cormier gets an F in that subject. Im not sure whether 2008 Fedor would win or Cormier, but I have no doubts that if Cormier fought like that after taking Fedor down, the fight would be over very quickly and Fedor would have his hand raised.

or cormier just lifts him up if he tries and dumps him on his head.

go write some long bullshit post about how much anderson sucks you fuckin dork lmao.

No way. DC today would absolutely dominate prime Fedor. Kinda like a prolonged version of what Randleman did.

lmao, I think we all know the answer to that question.

Now Redhawks is here page one so it's officially a party.

It's not even about who's better on the ground, that is actually irrelevant. DC keeps making the EXACT same mistake Coleman did. They're both top notch wrestlers with subpar sub defense.

Yes. Let's act like he wouldn't gameplan specifically for Fedor's submission game. Cormier is an entirely different planet than Coleman, he wouldn't get arm barred so easily. I understand you love Fedor but be realistic kid.
