This is how Mike Perry vs Michael Jai White fight would go

The people you mentioned are also called assholes by their peers. Who said anything wrong about MJW character besides MIKE PERRY?

And of course MJW has to get creative with the choreographed fights in his movies and try a bunch of things to be entertaining for casual fight flick fans. I'll admit, it can be cheesy at times but nobody else is putting so many active fighters in their movies.

Many teammates of Jordan have called him a jerk or an asshole. Not ONE single person that has trained with MJW said anything close to him being a asshole/jerk or whatever you want to call him. They all have great things to say for the most part. MJW always mentions what he learned from the big name fighters he has trained with. Jordan aint giving nobody props on anything lol

All I'm saying is it seems like people on sherdog find reasons to hate on him when so many people are inspired by the guy(including fighters much better than Mike Perry). If MJW was some asshole, other fighters besides Perry would have spoke on it. Assuming he is a prick because of Michael Jordan just sounds wild.
In one 5 minute video:

On sparring with fighters: “Always been a chance to test myself…”
“Getting a chance to train with jon jones…that was great for both of us….”
“I can be a striking coach to anybody”
“There’s not many professional fighters that have the striking skills that I have…that’s just fact”
“I let them tell you how great I am….I’d rather tell you about the times I didn’t do well….”
“I knew there were techniques that would work against him…and I was right…..”

This is why he rubs some the wrong way. That’s just in 5 minutes…..Half the names he drops are guys he’s been in movies with (bisping, Barnett, kimbo, rampage, smith). To him sparring doesn’t include actually getting hit but he believes he’s doing well.

As rampage said ' we about to see some black on black crime'<[analyzed}>

Lol is this real?
Did you read the whole sequence, or are you reading that, in isolation?

kflo seems to think or wants to argue that one doesn't know that a potentially lethal technique will be lethal in a real life situation unless you are allowed to kill people at your training gym, and have done so. I'm pointing out that there are ways to practice so one can execute something if it ever came to that, without having to rack up a pile of bodies.

Actually, it seems like you didn't read what I actually wrote. You can practice the different components.

I can practice a hammerfist to the clavicle and hold off at impact. I can practice the execution of it and simulate a live-action scenario. It takes more skill and control to stop a strike a light contact than it does to follow through with full force, so I know I can execute the full force technique. I've also practice, full force, on targets. I KNOW it will break the clavicle in a live situation, because in using targets, it takes more force to break through a pine board (not the flimsy "breaking boards" sold from MMA site) than it does through the clavicle.

When I execute that wrist crank and slow down the actual cranking on it, I KNOW it works. It's tight, the person feels the pain and has to fall out of it, WHICH I ALLOWED. I know I can execute it without slowing/stopping at the last moment.

I can execute a blood choke. The fact that I release it upon tap doesn't mean that, magically, I don't know that it will kill someone if I maintain it and don't release it until they are dead. I don't have to actually kill someone to know it will kill them.

I can practice shooting and obliterate the target at the range. It would be stupid to claim that, since I didn't kill a live person at the range, that I somehow don't know that if I point the gun at their head and pull the trigger, it will kill them.

Have you ever actually trained, yourself? These arguments seem a bit silly.
Yes, I’ve sparred for years. Boxing, full Standup, full mma.

Hammerfist to the clavicle? Isn’t that a legal technique in mma?

You seem fixated on thinking I personally have some kind of grudge against the guy, I don't.

Na I actually liked your posts for the most part. Just weird you had such well written post but still had to down the mans character... because of Mike perry and Michael Jordan..

And I was just kind of picking at it with you because you seem like you could actually explain where the hate for MJW comes from since you also think of him as a prick. But no biggie. I guess Mike perry is the person to listen to about someone's CHARACTER on good ol sherdog

Cant believe people here - the crux of the MMA universe would fall for a conman like this guy. Ive seen a bunch of his interviews and the smell of BooShit is just permeates the fuqqin mic -

"Jon.....yeah I know Jon....sparred with Jon......*implies he taught Jon some new tricks".

Interviewer: "So you got shot?"
MJW: Pause. "Yeah..um...yeah...fa sho... i got shot...It was....jus one of those things....you know....."

GTFOH

For someone who brags as much as he does, you get shot you have a real story with real details but nah...he likes to hang out in that vague arena of 'look tough and evoke Streefighter come to Life vibes"

Can he beat a regular standard untrained civilian? - maybe, maybe not. There are guys on the street who really do rumble alot and that experience is still better than doing Wushu on your bamboo dummy board.

A legitimate martial artist who has never fought in a serious competition, he is like an Aikido teacher.

he is just an actor<36>

Gary Goodridge would kill him in a real fight.
He used to fight in karate competition when he was much younger.
White is now more than 50 years old...his fighting days are long past him now.

It’s weird that I’ve been hearing about MJW for about 25 years but have never seen actual fighting footage

If by actual fighting u mean competition fighting, it's literally possible to find this footage with just a few seconds of Googling...

i don't think anyone would really call that fighting......

it's a low level point karate tournament with no headstrikes or intent to hurt. is it competition? sure. is it fighting? nah...

Back when he was a teenager, there weren't a lot of options for more full blooded competition fighting then. After he got into the movies, it would make zero sense to get into prize fighting when u can make more money acting instead of getting hurt and hurting people for a living.

i'm not arguing he SHOULD have been a fighter. just that he wasn't one. ever.

I just want you all to know that Platinum Mike Perry is love and peace. He knows the hearts, and we will all sit by his side when the time has come.

A wholehearted "Platinum bless" to each and every one of you curious adorable souls. I am Jehu.

You're only confirming what everyone else has said. He's not a fighter and there's no video out there of him fight sparring anyone despite 30+ years supposedly sparring all sorts of combat athletes in 100s of gyms. How is that even possible without a waiver being signed or he's literally lying.

There's video of Justin Bieber live sparring, cm punk, the mountain, the Paul bros, Bautista etc. But not a single shred of evidence that mjw has ever live sparred in his entire life. Literally the closest thing we have is him doing fight choreography with cowboy lol.
