My in-laws have a house in Ocala. I was surprised how nice the area was around the horse farms. Reminded me of my home here in CT.

My grandparents lived in Port Orange/Daytona. It was meh.

It sucked.

You lived in the wrong place then Panama city Daytona New Smyrna Melborne and the keys suck. Miami and Tampa are cool West Palm is decent. Hollywood isnt too great as well as Fort Lauderdale but I wasnt there too long.

Part of it is just a more humid Arizona, hell's waiting room where you can watch mlb games with small, relatively sober crowds in February.

The rest of the state is an exile location for people with warrants out for their arrests in more civilized parts of the country.

Lametona is one of the worst cities in Florida it has nothing there. I lived there 2 miserable years hell they even got a race track and the place sucks. Got more tickets in Daytona than any place Ive lived too because its a small hick town and the city relies on tickets for revenue. One cop gave me a ticket for pulling up to get a soda out of a machine at Publixs. Then my buddy who is swatt said you are allowed a temporary stop to pick up merchandise. I didnt fight the ticket tho.
