And I think there far higher than people think.

The problem is the bar is set very low it's got to a point that even an allegation will set up a full investigation...... This isn't the same as general assault.

Because the conviction rate is so low, instead of finding new ways to investigate the situation they'll just keep lowering the bar until they get the numbers they think it should be.......

what data have you got to think that false accusations are very high? you did not answer my question about that but I'm assuming in light of every single Google search showing otherwise that you have some study to point to.

I think the logic behind the punishment for rape being less than murder is that if it's not then more rapes might turn into murders.

Are they? And how would you know this, or are you talking about conviction rates? Because that's even more difficult to prove than rape itself but going by a few divorce solicitors I've dealt with it's actually a less than rare tactic, used by some.......

The general conviction rate for rape is low and by you saying that false rape is low..... I'm assuming you're saying that vast majority of rape claims are true and they just didn't have enough evidence to prove it......?? Do you understand the concept of innocent till proven guilty???

When you're convicting beyond reasonable doubt it's hard to prove someone got raped but it's also hard to prove someone didn't get raped.

I'm not in the "believe all women" camp, I'm with "don't dismiss all women". I don't automatically assume male guilt but I don't assume absence of evidence means guilt isn't possible. Rape is so difficult to prove and making the accusation is so stigmatic far too many cases aren't ever reported.

I don't know how well you know Montreal but I spent years volunteering for the NDG Food Bank, and I was trusted to deliver food to a shelter for battered women. It was the most depressing place I've ever seen, so many broken women. It left me with more empathy than most for women in that situation.

Cases like this are pretty black and white, though. This woman needs to do serious time, she's a cancer.

I have no tolerance for rape, and I am probably even tougher than you on what the consequences for sexual harrassment should be.

But at the same time I piss on the „believe all women“ crowd, because there are quite a few abuses going on in the other side, like this thread illustrates.

I also piss on people who use newly found, retarded notions like „victim shaming“, as if invoking „victim shaming“ automatically shuts down discussions about the context and victim‘s behaviour, as if these cases are always black or white.

In other words, I have always respected women and treated them like a gentleman, and didn‘t need another retarded Hollywood trend like to know what‘s right or wrong. So the virtue signalling of a few hormonal karens doesn‘t work on me.

But again, I dislike you very much, but I respect that you keep calm and remain coherent in your position.

I think the amount is larger than people believe and the only evidence I can give you is from divorce solicitors dealing with women gaming the system within the UK.

Nobody is going to own up to it and your not going to get anyone studying that sort of thing, because the narrative is still in the believe the accuser camp, besides how do you prove it.

If you want to catch real rapists and I think they're the scum of this earth, there needs to be more education on what a person should do after being raped, this really needs drilling into people's heads......

The other option, which is what seems to be the case, they keep lowering the bar to increase convictions rates, which means more miscarriages of justice.....

The problem is, there's no investigation into the accuser, police don't conduct anything what so ever, it would be very easy for the police to conduct forensic examination of phones and social media, people making shit up usually discuss it with someone before hand.
