Things I noticed after watching all of Conor's fights again (med. read)

his composure? he was running away, and badly trying to use head movement while his head was getting popped every direction he tried to move it. he was being hurt badly which was why he went for the TD, so no you cant say he regained his composure. he was on the verge of TKO

He fought aggressively because against a guy with so much height/reach on him, he couldn't just sit back and wait for an opening--he'd be picked apart. Also nate is a notoriously slow starter, he's most vulnerable in the 1st round.

Basically conor did everything right, just didn't have the skills to execute.
this!
there is no other gameplan for diaz
you have to be in his face from the beginning and it is what mcg did
just nate was the better boxer/fighter

This is amazing

The fact we've physically seen Conor be bigger and step on the scales and weigh 168. He's noticeably slimmer and more ripped in his featherweight fights, I'd honestly doubt he's anything over 160 in the cage.

I think that you're wrong, and I can reference other people in the business other than Sonnen and Diego. Patrick Wyman of Bleacher Report and Connor Ruebusch of Bloody Elbow also reported that Conor was around 170 on the night of the fight vs Aldo. (compared to Aldo's 163-165)

You might be right about Conor cutting to 168 vs Nate and actually weighing considerably more than 170, because I agree that just eyeballing it, Conor seemed more filled out in his last fight.

McGregor kept confirming he was underweight for welterweight despite being bigger than we've ever seen him.
McGregor being 170lbs in the cage at featherweight is a pure hype job, nothing more.

Even before he got rocked by Nate he was breathing heavly through his mouth and was visably tired. His striking in the first round was beautiful, he lit Nate up like a community christmas tree, and if he kept that pace up, he would of won comfortably.

He'll learn not to throw bombs in high volume and to pick his shots better, and he'll at least challenge for that LW belt at some point.

Frankie won't give him much problem IMO

Conor fans are in denial.

Lol okay. Conor said he was under 170, so it must be true. Too bad he's been reported other wise and had teammates like Gunnar Nelson concerned for his health cause of the 145 weight cut.

A 'hype job'? You aren't making any sense. If anyone is known for hyping Conor McGregor, it's Conor McGregor. And being one of the biggest FWs ever is not really a feather in his cap is it. Believe what you will though.

I've read that as well. Why would Gunny be concerned if FW Conor weighed less that 160 at fight time? It's obvious he cuts way more than that.

He became over confident in his striking. He literally thought he could knock anyone out. He kept trying and trying but at the end of the day he's the one who became a panic wrestler and got choked out.

That said all this he was gassed excuses is bullshit.

#1 Nate's striking helped him with his fatigue
#2 It's Conor's fault.

I disagree that if he was more economical with his striking that it would be better for him. If he couldn't take Nate out with the kitchen sink he's not going to do it with a few utensils first.

Nate took the fight without a camp and still beat him soundly once he got comfortable. Conor needs to defend his belt and just stay at 145lbs.

You know that he wouldnt have landed as many punches in the first round if he had paced himself to not blowout, and that this would have allowed Diaz to get off first more, ya?
