With Pereira moving up to HW and likely vacating the belt, not to mention he is close to retirement,
LHW division will be a free-for-all.

Khamzat wants that double strap, and without strong wrestlers/grapplers,
LHW division is his for the taking.

Assume:
- Jiri beats Ulberg and Magomed
- Khamzat beats Fluffy and RDR

Khamzat willl move up to challenge for 205 title.

Both fighters have history with each other.
Neither likes each other.

This isn't a fantasy fight, its fighting destiny.
Violence vs violence.

2026 / 2027

Was that your fantasy fight?

My fantasy fight is Jones vs Pereira.
But it looks like it may actually happen at the White House in 2026.

Not much violence there is it?

Jiri = 96% finish rate
Khamzat = 80% finish rate

This fight is violence personified. The striker vs the wrestler.
You can enjoy your sub-par 50% finish rate fighters.

Not many fries in the bag left it seems.

I miss Mo Lawal

I don't see Khamzat at 205 anytime soon unless it's a Pereira Super Fight...

You guys are so eager to want champions fight each other that it's taken the appeal away.

Of course we want Champ vs Champ.
We want to see the best against the best.

No one wants to see journeymen attempt a half-assed title challenge against the Champ.

Before the fight:
Generic Challenger: "I am so prepared to get the belt, he is getting knocked out Saturday night. Mark my words."
His coach: "It's true. Best camp I've ever seen him do, he will be the new champ in this division"

After the fight:
Generic Challenger: "Yeah so guys, something just felt off. I just felt weird that night, I'm still getting that belt."
His coach: "He was dealing with an illness and injuries during the camp."

How is that any different when it's champion vs champion?

Pereira was 50% in the first fight, which he lost, had the best camp now that he won.

And guess who had a bad camp? Broken ribs Ankalaev.

No, Hamzat is not about the violence anymore. He will get a soft majority decision via takedown > secure position > throw gentle bunny punches

No... no they are certainly not

What the fuck is it with Kumzit fans ALREADY pushing him moving to LHW?? The guy had to all but initiate buttsex with DDP to win a decision, how about he somehow manages to defend the belt 3 or 4 times (like everyone else should) before that shit starts

Let the champions be long defending champions! That's what made GSP vs Silva so appealing. You guys immediately want champions to move up in weight after 1 or 2 successful defenses, it's fucking tiresome.

Don't you know?

After Khamzat DOMINATED Dricus, there is no one in MW who can even challenge him.

Since no one is on his level, he can comfortably move to LHW where there is a talent shortage there.

You are wrong.

I want champions who win the title convincingly to immediately move up,
just like Ilia Topuria did. No title defense needed.

People said Topuria was too small for 155, and guess what happened?
Became 2 weight division 😎

Imagine if Ilia wasted his talents on the joke of 145 division.
It was a good thing he went to 155, which has a strong skill level to challenge himself.
