There's levels to toughness

as time goes on, i'm convinced jiri is one of the toughest fighters on the roster

got eye poked by jamahal and continued too

Tom Aspinall after an Eye-poke

Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier 2

Yuki Nakai vs Gerard Gordeau

This is not disrespect to Tom, I'm just reminding people here, Because Stipe is one of the least talked about fighters EVER.

Some people can't continue after an Eye-poke too, not too many people are DC, Stipe, Werdum or Glover, there are fighters such as: Cheick Kongo vs Ryan Bader, Belal vs Leon 1, Mitrione vs Browne...etc of them couldn't continue after an eye-poke, and maybe the Eye-poke Tom received was way more painful, who knows? good thing that MMA isn't made for everyone and not everyone can become a fighter to test how painful it is to get poked in the eye.

But what are your thoughts?

No stipe had a whole finger in DC eye..

But at the end of the day it's now the day after and there's 0 hospital news... Tom quit... They offered him 5 min he refused it just wanted to be done .

Pain? It's not about pain, it's about being able to see. If you can't see shit and you go back out there you deserve to get knocked out.

Belal didn't cry out because he was in pain. He was scared something serious had happened to his eye which isn't about toughness. Anyone would freak out if they thought lost their eyesight.
I got hit in the eye by a squash ball and couldn't open even my eye for twenty minutes, couldn't see anything for another ten minutes or so after that. It's fucking terrifying.

Ask Stipe how that worked out for him the first time he fought DC.
This and totally this. No reason any fighter should have to fight at a disadvantage because of cheating.

Randy was also KOd after an eyepoke from Chuck.

Tried. They told me it would be a 60-80% chance that I might still need to wear glasses :(

Not if you let me do it

I lost my eyesight after amount of hate spread on this forum

I just can't imagine the likes of Jiri or Pereira giving up in this scenario

1. He could see just fine because he was watching the replays in his post fight interview " See! Knookle deep!"
2. He quit because things weren't going his way
His finger literally was. Gane literally should have been DQ'ed because that was clearly 100% intentional. Why they continue to let these cheaters egregiously cheat is beyond me.

99% of fighters go their whole career without eyepoking people then you have retards who do it often. It's not the gloves. It's the retards literally sticking their fingers directly into people's eyes intentionally, gaming the broken system. In this case, trying to Bon Gamin the system.
