There's a huge difference between meeting true contender and fan favourite matches

2nd fight looked easy to me.

Had Sonnen not slipped in the second round I think that fight may have went much the same way as the first fight.

Fair enough, but there wasn't a whole lot of fights left available at the time, and Hardy was riding a decent win streak. He was also ranked in the top 10 universally.

But I agree with you he wasn't like a Gustaffson or anything like that. And there is no excuse for GSP in that fight. He had top position for 25 minutes and didn't throw any ground saint pound.
