Huh? Season 1 was fantastic, Season 2 was even better, and Season 3 was better than them both. Season 4 was a misstep (dumb plot and terrible villain) but then Season 5 came back strong as fuck and at times rivaled Season 3. It tanked when Alan Ball left after Season 5 - Season 6 is awesome all the way until the last episode, but the last episode is dumb and Season 7 is pretty fucking terrible, making for a worse falloff/conclusion for a great long-running show than Dexter even - but it's very strong overall and the first three seasons are phenomenal.

Genre tastes aside, "Six Feet Under" is far FAR superior.

I've tried twice and I've never made it through the Pilot let alone the whole series.

Season 3 is the best season. Denis O'Hare as Russell Edgington is one of the greatest performances in television and he makes Seasons 3 and 5 as awesome as they are. What's wrong with you people?

Don't bother with six feet under. I kept hearing that it had the greatest series finale of all time so I started watching it. I made it through the first season but I couldn't get much further. I just wasn't enjoying it.

So I just skipped to the finale and I'm glad I did, because it wasn't worth sitting through 5 more seasons.

loved this movie when it came out. I bought the blu ray like 15 years ago where it sat and collected dust for several years. I finally went to re watch it like 5 yesrs ago and I was blown away at how over the top the creepiness factory was. I mean, even without taking into account spacey s real life stuff, this movie is about a man perving on a minor. I had a hard time overlooking that and its a hard no for me now.

Something about it is kind of over done and a bit of a joke of itself. It doesn't take the subject matter as serious like Magnolia as it should. Instead, it is like Magnolia with "yeah, that was a cool scene". The part that is off putting in retrospect is that Kevin Spacey's character is perpetually trying to fuck that high schooler and the movie never really delves into Spacey being conflicted about this, only his daughter hating it. It is like a sign of the times where somehow it was approptiate or ok for a middle age man to creep around a high schooler. And then to cap it all off, he has that monologue about life as if he is somehow profoundly wise when he was trying to fuck a high schooler for a third of the movie.

I don't like many movies starring what's his face. Never liked that guy's onscreen vibes.
