Everyone said that about Romero Izzy as well.

Izzy was so scared of Romero's power he circled and flicked little punches and kicks for 25 minutes. Jan has that kind of power as well.

I've noticed showboating and mind games leads to Izzy hesitance to strike like in Silva/Romero, but Jan isn't going to stand around and try to troll Izzy, he's going to move forward and Izzy is going to counter him all night.

So what round regardless who wins? I’m going with Izzy 90% but won’t be shocked if Jan slept him ! I say round 4.

They said there was no way in hell Ngannou vs. Lewis would go to decision, when in reality it did, and there was like 30 total strikes thrown combined across 15 minutes. In other words, don't be so sure.

A boring safety first point fighter and a boring, slow, one dimensional fighter. This can definitely go to a decision and probably will.

Boring? You must like watching crotch sniffers

I could see it going to decision, if Adesanya finds his range and keeps Jan at bay he could outwork him all night without needing to risk exchanging in the pocket. I think a 50-45 or 49-46 Adesanya victory is about as likely an outcome as any in this fight

I doubt it goes to a decision too....but it COULD. I'm hoping for a TKO or KO victory for Jan. I do think Jan is going to be swinging and missing a lot, simply because Adesanya does have top-level punch evasion. He is hard to hit. BUT you can catch him : I think Jan should back him into the cage, and catch him there. Jan might also use clinch-work and drain Adesanya's energy and therefore slow him down.

Jan is bound to be heavier, maybe 20 or 25lbs, and he needs to use his power to clinch up, and if possible, get it to the ground, just to tire Adesanya out. Jan shouldn't really let this fight be a kickboxing contest at distance : that is where Adesanya wants it and is at his best.

Will Jan be scared to death of Izzy like Romero was though? I doubt it. He'll actually fight Adesanya, unlike Romero who just made faces and did not make any attempts to make Adesanya have to fight hard to keep his belt.

I definitely think Izzy wins, but the fight not making it to decision seems like the safest bet

I think Izzy can and will try to take this to a decision if Jan makes him uncomfortable in the first few exchanges

From what we've seen he only takes a finish when it comes to him. He's perfectly fine with exchanging at distance, especially when there's power coming back at him.

I have Jan a very slight favourite because of the size. Moving up in MMA is not like moving up in kickboxing.

It might be another Romero Izzy. Jan fought like that against jacare. I doubt it though.
Jan said he wasn't feeling himself during this fight and of course Jacare possessed potential takedown threat. Jan will not have to worry about it with Izzy so we are gonna see a lot of action.

fuck all. He chased Izzy for awhile and couldn't catch him so he stood in the middle of the cage and waited for him to stop running around him... for 25 minutes.

Fair enough, not saying it wasn’t a shit fight, I just would have though Romero would have learnt by now his super low output keeps losing him fights...

They said the same thing about Black Beast vs Ngannou. You never know whats gonna happen.

Why not?

If Jan touches himm early, he will just leg kick and circle like the Romero fight for sure
