The Younger generation have terrible work ethics.

I'm sure every older generation have said this about young kids, it's pathetic and I think steeped in jealousy, fuck I'd love to be 21 again, best time of my life.
 
So I'm in IT and I am in charge of hiring for the company. We recently hired quite a few people to the department. After a few months, the only two retards that are under the age of 27 are on thin ice with the boss already. We're all currently teleworking so I guess according to these two kids, that means nobody is watching them or paying attention to whether or not they are working. We are required to come in once a week for specific tasks, but they have not come into work when asked because they assumed it was optional. Oh, and they also have sleep in. Neither seem to be getting the job aspects either as they ask 50 questions a day. Have these mother fuckers ever touched a computer before? They clearly lied about their skills when interviewing them. They are a fucking nuisance and ironically, they both are the youngest on the team.

TLDR; younger generation are whiny pussies and have shitty work ethics. You guys are screwed and it's not because of the generations before you. It because you guy are fucking lazy.

I've said this before on here but in my experience hiring Millennials, the best workers came from either blue color or immigrant households. The entitled little shits came from middle class, American parents.

It seems to me that there are people, no matter what age group, who will give themselves every excuse in the book to not do their best at work. It also seems to me that there are people, no matter what age group, who insist on doing their best no matter what. There is also the question of competency, if someone lacks competency in some area, even if they do their best, their results won't amount to much. It important to know your competency and to know the edge of that competency.

Weird the most incompetent folks in my department are usually older than me like 40 to 54 yrs old.

I have recomended 4 people for further training the youngest is 36 years old.

I even used to work with 54 year old dude who is a total cheat,doing every thing he can to cheat the system taking long breaks routing calls, lying to customers.

In my current Job I have been assigned by the Senior Manager as a temporary supervisor/trainer because I have 3 coleagues age 40 to 47 the same pay grade as I am that are too inept to learn the program.

Well its the fault of the department manager since he hired this people because "He knows them"
 
um if my so called generation is lazy, then wouldn't that be placing the blame on said generation that came beforehand? Since ya know, the generation that came before hand is the one who taught the current generation, so if the current generation is failing in a specific area it would be due to the previous generation's failings in that regard.

Not just that. I used to print out Pearl Jam lyrics and read them, downloaded a bunch of Clive Barker and Stephen King books and read them. This was before smartphones.

You just hired the wrong people. I have found younger workers to be resourceful and hardworking.
 
So one of the offices I go to is a Goverment office and this is completely true. The older guys that fancy themselves "Old School" and talk about "Commies" are lazy and entitled as shit, and don't realize the hypocrisy of complaining about any form of Socialism while they are walking, talking examples of Socialism and its failures. The young people either leave or begin to slack and I get why, there's no incentive for them to work harder and older managers that don't want change and just want to get their retirement in order are always throwing up road blocks.
Nailed it. All the older guys at my work bitch if they need to test a change to any system. And they don’t even know how to conduct a proper test. They’ll test it on one client machine, configured one way, then make a change and test it on an entirely different machine which may or may not be configured completely differently. I literally had to tell them why that’s not a good idea, and why either their dev or test environments, or both, need to be the same as the production environment. Their shit never works once they go live. They don’t ever know why.
